Can expect most major events to go off in the morning, if I’m remembering the Beijing schedule correctly. They’ll do late evening starts to maximize US and European viewership.
I thought the Beijing starts were early morning local time to make it USA primetime or thats how I remember Phelps swims
Is that big Gator kid that just beat Laird in the 200m not running in the trials? I was looking at the 200m heats and didn't see his name. Shame, wanted to see how he'd do. Hopefully Lyles has a better showing in the 200m, man finished pretty much dead last in the 100.
Lyles 100 showing was almost 100% on his start. He hit a top speed as high or higher than almost everyone else, just way later in the race. Excited to see that in a 200
Yeah, he really needs to work on his starts. I know he's better in the 200. Can't wait to see that final Sunday.
Yep, looked like she could have blown away the field if she wanted. Probably helps she's several inches taller than most of them.
100m and 200m, 4x1, long jump there’s not many more intense events than the 4x100m relay I respect the hell out of the people that run 800m and longer events but those are just miserable to run and I get a side cramp just watching it
800 has the highest likelihood of absurd things happening so it’s super fun. But also annoying when it happens to someone like Brazier. I’m still partial to the 1500 when it’s run hard the whole way. Wish 5k and 10k would be pure cross country or road events.
think they're going 1-2 in tokyo prandini just ran the 2nd fastest time in the world this year and coasted at the end
Adelaide Aquilla, 20 year old Ohio State junior, qualified yesterday with a third place throw. She has been dominant in the collegiate indoor and outdoor circuit this year.
not that i am in shape to do any of it, but i'd think i'd rather run the 10k than the steeplechase. it always seems like the most grueling event.
