My wife watching the cycling: “is it raining there or do they make it wet and slick on purpose?” Me: …….
Watching the women’s triathlon and I’m still thinking about the men’s race. We effectively saw in real time, on what a lot of us would consider the biggest stage, someone just wanting it more than everyone else. The level of effort and pain on his face both during and after the race was beautiful. I’m sure someone could tell us that Yee and others were trying just as hard but I don’t believe it for a second. Blummenfelt went to a place no one else would. Loved to see it.
Without spoiling the result, can someone tell me when this men’s team gymnastics occurred? I don’t remember it being on yesterday but it doesn’t say live
Someone explain to me why Russian athletes are allowed to compete after the doping scandal, I thought they were banned
What is live other than swimming tonight? Watching rugby right now but don’t want to miss anything good
I dunno if GB is good in sevens, but Fiji dominating them seems to really highlight how good they are at Rugby. 33-7
how the hell do you return from a torn achilles in just 3 months? this russian dude couldn't stand on his injured leg just a month ago? what the fuck kind of drugs is he loaded up with
Men’s water polo live on CNBC. USA about to dominate South Africa Getting to warm up in robes and Nike slides seems ideal
DUCKMOUTH you replied in the other thread but why is alllowed? Individuals, ok, but this is the same thing minus playing their national anthem
they can compete but not under their own flag nor will they play their anthem edit: the reason is because of money
its dumb. Technically Russia can’t claim the medals, but it’s them. They struck a deal with Olympic committee after the doping ban. This was the punishment. Pretty dumb really, but I’m sure money was a factor too
right. My question is why are they allowed to compete as a team like in this men’s gymnastics? Russian flag and anthem or not, it’s a Russian team
because people in Russia have TVs too and Russian TV broadcasters pay the IOC for broadcast rights just like NBC does
its a fake punishment for sure. Basically letting Russia compete because Russia is “technical banned”
its like if Brazil was banned from the World Cup, so they compete as the Brazilian World Cup contingent, wear plain uniforms, win the World Cup and play the boys are back in town as their anthem on the podium
We had an Egyptian grad student on my college club team. That dude was awesome. Mind you, not particularly good at water polo, but awesome.
I think you missed the reason behind his post. And Bro, I mean no disrespect, but feels like a black people cant swim joke/post. Correct me If I’m mistaken and I went down the wrong path
