Yedlin putting in a good performance last weekend, + some solid play for the stars and stripes tonight. Time spent with Rafa is paying off. Big fan of Merino so far.
Just read he will only sell to someone that can push the club forward, and will take staggered payments to have money available for January/next summer. Sounds too good to be true, but we will see
I mean, it seems like it'd be a great investment. The stadium is sold out week in, week out regardless of what level the team is.
doubt that kind of money is spent before new ownership happens http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb...-face-competition-newcastle-paraguay-11459092
Rafa has control of X amount of spend regardless of a sale before Christmas or not. I do not believe X to be a very high number though. We have to many holes to fill to spend that much on one IMO.
Would be a fan, but that isn't the type of transfer I would see happening in January. We need a goal scorer
seems like last match and today he is being placed in an attacking position safe to assume he is nailed on here or could a Slimani or other take that spot?
I think, through two games, the only person that can take Kenedy’s spot is himself. He’s got 2 assists in two games and has been dangerous both games. Huge fan so far
think they ended up crediting Perez with the assist today, but yea I agree. Asked for Fantasy purposes.
Great loan move for Kenedy, also paying dividends for my FPL squad which I know everybody cares about. Really not sure why Kenedy didn’t get more chances at Chelsea, he looked dangerous as hell every time he played whether at LW or LWB. I know he had some racist incident over the summer but every time I saw him play for Chelsea was prior to that and let’s not act like Chelsea gives a fuck about ethics.
If anyone is interested in the financial side to being an EPL club, this is an interesting thread. Lots of info on the finances of getting relegated, what comes with it. Newcastle took an enormous risk on last year relying on immediate promotion.
:(. Nufcblog was basically the first blog I got news from when I first started following the club. Sad stuff.
1. Thought he showed reasonable potential, and could operate as a rotational piece at worst. 2. Not totally sad to see him go (not going to ruin chances or anything) but really would have liked to keep him on now that he has a year in the system and showed to be a perfectly reasonable option. 3. That number is rather low, and is even more frustrating considering it was the release clause. Would think we could have bumped that number by 50% All in all, I agree.
Upsetting for sure, but as the season went on he obviously fell down Rafa’s list. Just hoping we get some new blood into the group. Team reports back tomorrow iirc
Rafa staying. In on Alaskans Plea but sounds like German Club will get him. Normal bullshit window. Have to sell to buy. Ritchie / Merino / Mitro out will raise funds for a couple. Need Ashley to sell the club though.
