Would love for us to get Ben Arfa too. I have heard possibility of loan with opp to buy or just straight buy. Edit: Krul penned a new contract until 2014. I would love to see us get at least 1 more CB, 1 creative Mid, and a proven goal scorer in the prem. then loan out one or two players. By the way, been following the Toon about 4 years now. My brother was in the peace corps in Africa and BBC only covered the beautiful game. He got hooked, became a Chelsea fan, then got me hooked. Started following Chelsea with him, but they were already big 4 by then. Studied up on all the clubs, fell in love with the Magpies because of the tradition and fans. It has consumed my life every since. Thanks for the videos a few pages back. That was fun to watch. I wish would could get back to playing that style of football.

Iron Mickey and irishLAX are newer fans. I chose Newcastle because growing up I was a huge Owen fan, but once I started following Obafemi became my favorite. Too bad he didn't stay with us, now he's off in Russia

I think if we put a bit of class around him his production will rise. I am not 100% on Carroll yet. I think he is a talent, put can he carry us in the Prem? I don't know. I think with our current squad his scoring is going to determine where we finish.

It's hard to full back Carroll since he's yet to prove it at the top flight, but I think he will be fine as he's got the physical ability to not get bullied around. I am becoming a big Jose Enrique fan. I hated him when we first got him, but now that he's settled in at Newcastle, he's starting to play amazingly, and he has potential to be great

With Lovenkrands I don't know if he can provide enough production to keep us up. Thats why I would love to add a proven goal scorer to our squad, doesnt have to be a lot of goals, just somone solid. This would take pressure off Lovely and young Carroll. I love talking football. I love learning about the game. I think I know a decent amount about Newcastle, but I am still learning about tactics and formations. I haven't talked to the other Newcastle fans, but I have found the best way to learn the game is just talk to others.
