Her focus being academics, off the field success, and compliance fits really well with Virginia. If you feel like you have the right coaches already in place then I think you will succeed.
Back to basketball, I'm really liking our OOC schedule this year. I think it fits well with a young team to go a little easier than we have in years past (obviously this stuff is planned way ahead of time so it's more luck of the draw there). Yeah I have no clue how to project this team so we could win 30 games or we could win 15. ACC is going to be tough this year because it's not as top heavy and pretty much everyone is going to have a chance every single night. Obviously that will change throughout the season but there aren't going to be any gimme ACC wins like there have been in the past.
I think this team will rank up there with our elite 8 team. We have so many scoring options that I hope tony doesn't restrict anyone. We pushed the ball non stop in the scrimmage I hope that continues.
a lot will depend on Nigel's defense - need someone to help Hall guard other dynamic guys...as I dont think Guy or Ty will have improved enough there

David Hale says you guys will probably get in at 5-7 anyway because it doesn't look like there will be 78 six win teams. he did say he thinks you'll get a win somewhere anyway but I tend to agree that you're in a bowl regardless. GT might be doable but UL is your best bet imo. you nearly beat a way better UL last year, they're vulnerable to being shitty (they're shitty most games and occasionally Jackson bails them out).
I would be happy for our guys for the ability to go to a bowl game, but going to one at 5-7 would leave a really bad taste in my mouth. I would almost hope we would decline.
I think the opposite. While it doesn’t look/feel good after 5 straight losses, I think that would be a good thing to build off of for next year.
6 months after the game the only people who will ever know you went to a bowl at 5-7 are UVA and VT fans. there are recruits you're on for next year's class right now who one month later won't know anything about this season outside of the fact you went to a bowl or didn't.
