thank you all for your service. i'd eaten at a fair amount of those listed but never gotten the burgers. i waited in line for speakeasy recently and then the heavens opened and released a monsoon, ending my venture to try them with 5 people in front of me.
Brothers in Christ, you need to run to St. Vic's Smoke Shack on OBT. College Park area in an old gas station building. He was out of a ton of stuff when I got it yesterday but the brisket, chicken and greens were the best I've had. Probably better than I had in Texas even. Great Mac and cheese as well. His sauces are top notch. Only open I think Thurs - Sat
Guys, Wild Fork’s Blank Angus outside skirt steak is just insane. Use their house steak seasoning on both sides. Sear for two-3 mins.
The 2” pork chops I had the other night were outstanding. The only misses I’ve had at WF are a couple types of seafood.
Been enjoying some of their sausages too. Sweet Italian has been a winner. Their parking lot is so ass. Luckily they’re open early so I usually grab my Austin’s and then head over early.
Another wild fork success picture makes it look more cooked than it was. Although still overdid it a tad.
How's the food at Smoke & Donuts? I'm always on the hunt for good donuts and figure if the reports on the bbq are good I'll try that too. Don't recall seeing it discussed here but I probably missed it
Randomly tried it last week, pulled pork was good and the spicy Mac n cheese was delicious. They had an Uber eats order cancel so they gave me a bag of free food but it was the same stuff I had ordered. Donuts were good too, key lime one is my fav so far.
Did you do food truck or brick and mortar? I got smoked turkey and wasn't greasy or anything. First time I've had bbq and not felt like a turd of a human after - most other places are just sloppy with grease I feel. Maybe other stuff there is.
It was back in food truck days. So one day I'll try new spot but with St vic's I see no need to rush there.
Any good suggestions for a restaurant that would accept a reservation for 20 people without having to switch to a banquet/event menu? The closer to I-Drive, the better.
Any recs for Park Ave restaurants other than Prato and the usual suspects? Feel like I've had them all. Looking for something new.
According to their automated message, they don't take reservations on the weekend (which is when I would need it). I just submitted an event request to The Pub and am waiting to hear back from Hampton Social.
It’s kind of a weird layout but the food is good. I actually had my rehearsal dinner there when it was a different place.
Welp my washing machine is dying. Is Appliance Direct reliable? Not sure beat place to get a new appliance nowadays
Just had my dryer die a couple weeks ago and they got one out to me in two days, good price and good product so far, I'd go with them again.
this place has refurbs usually super cheap that work well. if you're not wanting to buy new, might be worth a look at their inventory: https://maps.app.goo.gl/6A5kzYSeToe2xzXj6
I got my appliance at Appliances 4 Less and I will give them my thumbs up for anyone else looking for scratch and dent. Anyway…Anyone else getting these god awful downtown Orlando ads? They’re so bad.
Any good restaurant recs in the Thornton Park area or nearby. Will be there for FSU-LSU so I’ll be in game day clothes but prefer somewhere that isn’t bar style food
I would honestly post up at deadwords but it will be packed I'm sure. Better food there than just about anything in downtown. But if you want to be further away do rusteak or stubborn mule.
Trying to think of a place for a 40th birthday dinner. Something new and trendy like. Just 6-8 people or so. superica would be great but don’t think they take reservations
Open to new places. Usually go Mexican, Italian, or just eclectic. Honestly looking for a good time more than anything.
