it's not too bad. )24 heroes divided into 4 cats: attacker, defender, tank, support. attacker and defender can really all be combined to a "dps" category. learn the ones you think are most fun in the beginning, don't worry about anything else. )each map only has one game type. there's, i believe, 19 maps and 4 game types: payload, 2 capture point, a hybrid of those two, and king of the hill. )there's nothing to level up or unlock except cosmetic shit. you do have a "level" but that doesn't represent anything other than how much you have played. every level you get a loot box that contains 4 cosmetic items. once you hit level 25 you can play the ranked/competitive mode. )blizzard loves their events. we just started a chinese new year event. events usually come with a reworked map or two, a new gametype in the arcade, and a bunch of cosmetic items available only during the event. they have all lasted for three weeks. not that it matters and it shouldn't impact how you play at all right now but the general go-to team composition is 2 dps, 2 tanks, 2 healers. heroes get buffed and nerfed all the time so "who is the best" is a constantly evolving argument. therefore just play who you like and have fun with it.

I always mute toxic people. I don't understand why people can be so angry while playing a game meant to be played for fun. I understand raging occasionally, but once it starts happening more often than not, it's probably time to move on to a new game.
I played with #1 guy on Xbox earlier and he said something along the lines of "I hope everyone here has their cancer ridden family die in a house fire." Sometimes you need to just take a step back and think "Am I a piece of shit?"
im rolling up the diamond ramp by just picking reinhardt and muting my whole team. not that much coordination necessary. Press q when enemy rein shield breaks team follows up +mmr
It's pretty rare that you lose a game when you have a competent rein and they have a guy that's just filling in the role.
Vegeta's most annoying heroes to play against: 1. Mei 2. Roadhog 3. Dva when she had her raid boss style buff.
I would also add that good pharahs when I've committed to tank or heals and either no one rolls soldier or the soldier is oblivious
Pharah is so easy to cheese half the first points in the game while attacking in gold/plat. 1. pick pharah 2. hop over to point without being seen while two deathball's poke each other 3. step onto point 4. 70% of the time rein and a few others from defense will leave the choke to kill you 5. take choke 6. take point 7. get shit pushed in on defense
I love attacking first point on Eichenwalde (probably butchered that) with a PharMercy combo. Conversely, I really hate playing rein on that point.

Ok, trying to figure out my settings for OW, but having trouble as my Heroes look pixelated. First, here's some pics of my specs (I was told this was good for gaming due to the GB on site, as the gaming laptop I wanted had higher processing speed but half the memory... Or something along those lines that seemed to make sense at the time -- this one was actually cheaper in store, but shelf price was more expensive. I say this because he had no incentive to sell me this over the gaming laptop for a price tag of almost $100 more): Resolution is 1920x1080 and Refresh Rate is 60p Hz... I set Overwatch display to match (and really everything in between), but the big heroes in the main menu look pixelated af. What do I do to fix this if possible?
More important would be what gfx card it has. All the ram and processing speed won't help if the gfx card isn't great.

i think there trying to make bastion less situational. i like the buff because hopefully itll make him more useful in comp so when assholes auto lock him on attack they wont just get their shit pushed in, i think its kinda like the soldier buff as in people were picking soldier because he was easy to use but as a dps he was pretty mediocre pre buff and wasnt really a good pick. now hes a solid draw. dva can block roadhogs hook
