Also fairly surprising was the lack of bastions. Buddy and I took turns swapping the keyboard to play qualifiers. Spectated / played 15 games and only saw 2 opposing team bastions on push maps

 

Nah, I've got class in the morning and I need to correct my sleeping schedule. It kind of got out of hand recently.

I just saw your message when I got on my account to watch some youtube; we've had a pretty solid 6-stack rolling recently, but I'll be sure to send you an invite whenever we have a spot open.

 

The only time I see Bastions are in games where there are 3 or more people in a group. Bastion is ungodly strong (on xbox at least because the latest balance patch to bring him to 20% resistance hasnt gone through yet) but you still need to play around him. It best works when you have a Mercy damage/healing bastion, a rein blocking shots, and a dva defense matrix. It's incredibly stupid to play against. I've probably solo ult'd more bastions as pharah since the latest update than I've done to all other characters combined since the game was released.

i would absolutely love a Lucio rework, just don't bastardize him. I love wall riding, I love the auras, I love the boop. Change the primary.

 

tried playing last night with my ps4 controller on PC. Never had a problem in the past, but yesterday whenever i clicked X, it would open up the chat and O worked basically as my X. No matter how times i tried to change my controls, it still wouldnt work. Any help?

You are handicapping yourself if you are trying to play on PC with a controller. Play on ps4.

 

meh, couple of heroes can be played fine with a controller.

 

Anything that requires precision puts you at a huge disadvantage without aim assists

 

well i'm thinking rein, winston, and mercy. probably even projectile heroes like mei and pharah. lucio can be fine but a stick hurts the wall riding ability a tiny bit. but lol at trying mccree or ana on pc with a controller.

 

I think there's a large group of ppl on PS4 who lol at mccree with a controller

 

I just assume when I'm playing a really good McCree that he's using m&k. Most of the time I'm right.

Seems to benefit pro Lucios a bit and negate the things that made him an easier toon to play

 

Pro Lucios do nothing but taxi and speed through chokes. This patch shrinks the aoe by 90%. The only person benefiting is dspstanky.

 

Makes Lucio have to be a part of the action to be effective. His healing is a pretty substantial buff, and his survivability with the increased speed while wall-riding/healing buff will make him more tanky.

I'm not sure how big a factor the aoe nerf is going to be though. Seems like it'll only matter for dive comps where teams are super spread out. In death-ball comps where everyone lines up behind the rein shield, this is a pretty big buff because of the increased healing. I also like that it basically forces teams to group up. Smart move. I hope it's effective.

 

It kills 90% of Lucio play styles and leaves us with just one.

 

What I would like to see is a 20m aura for speed boost and 10m for heals.

 

Yeah, that would be nice. Or if it's going only going to be 10m, make the speed-boost faster?

 

i just don't want to take out the ability to taxi. i'm not sure 10m is enough to keep that mechanic around.

 

I don't play any Lucio, but this seems like a nerf unless you're good at dps Lucio.

On the plus side, it makes Dspstanky videos even better.

 

i definitely do play dps lucio. i'm not arguing it won't be more fun for lucio players but the overall team impact seems lower. i could be wrong, and i hope i am. i would much rather him turn into a healer you can carry with like ana and zen.

 

So, both of the top 2 supports are getting nerfs. I hope this means Zen gets more play. Discord on a roadhog is pretty fun.

 

it's the zen and mercy meta aka the pharah meta which is great because i would rather play pharah than any other hero

 

Phar-mercy meta is my favorite meta.

Haven't tested the new Lucio yet, but just judging by what I've read, I think it'll make him a helluva lot more fun to play. I play a shitload of Lucio, and I'm excited about them.

 

with lucio and pharah everywhere right now i never get to play who i want :(

 

the more i play pharah the more i realize how useless most mercy's are. like, if you're just going to blast me with heals while i'm at full health switch to zen and let me get the orb. i want damage boost like 70% of the time. they're all useless.

 

Grab master in oversumo by pocket healing one character and res every chance you get. Best way to work yourself into a carry group.
