we will have to agree to disagree here. The scene takes like 30 seconds and it’s him just doing donuts in the water. He also lets Jonah talk and waves to the cop and they leave. He in no way acts “annoying or childish”.
I assume you’re agreeing with me, Because we don’t know what the picture was but if we assume he is off his meds there it proves my point.
Seems like they're leaving the option open of bringing him back and devising some crazy scheme with Navarro, why else wouldn't they show the death or body. Thought it was great but don't think we need any more Ben.
He also ran completely naked into the lake with people around, which is very much not a normal thing to do.
Struggling to think of a reason why Navarro would keep a guy alive who is bipolar and can't be trusted to keep his shit together. Marty would've had to strike a deal with the robot hitman to keep him alive, which also seems incredibly unlikely. Loved this season. Ben was a fantastic character, and the actor who played him absolutely knocked it out of the park. Glad Ruth is out from under the Byrde's for the time being.
On episode 9, this dude that plays Ben is amazing. But, they got to kill that motherfucker. This show is great at making you fluctuate between liking and hating nearly every single character.
Interesting. It could have been bad for me had I not cared about Ben’s character, and that sort of was the case early on. But I came to really appreciate the character as the season progressed.
I thought it was a great way to show that Wendy wasn't some stone cold ruthless woman now. It brought emotion back out of her
we saw her turn into that monster, she has no emotions now that she crossed that bridge of basically killing her brother(the person she loves the most in the world)
Not necessarily. I mean she was basically having a mental breakdown afterwards but I do agree that it will be taken to the next level now especially after the conversation with Ruth in the office
Spoiler them not showing Ben die is sloppy/cheesy if he is really dead. the actor did an incredible job of playing the character. As mentioned, the cab scene is perfection and will be remembered as one of the great scenes of the show. I thought Jonah was going to kill himself in the last scene. Don’t think Navarro knew anything about the forged Marty confession that the lawyer was going to use to get Marty and Wendy killed in Mexico. He just picked the Byrdes over the lawyer because he valued them more based on ending the war. darlene is the devil, looking forward to Darlene and the Langmores vs Byrdes and cartel. Darlenes number is going to be up and Ruth is going to be responsible for Wyatts demise in symmetry to Wendy and her brother.
I guess that could be, but I really think the reason they didn’t show it was because they wanted you to feel it entirely by seeing what Wendy was going through. I’d much rather have it that way than see some hitman basically come up and pop him.
The local cops allowing a meth farm and drug transports along with allowing a mans penis to be blown off are just a few things that just don’t make a ton of fucking sense in a season of great TV.
Just finished totally thought the KC mob was going to come hard after Marty cut ties A bit strange they just accepted it and didn’t come after Marty
they don’t want any part of the cartel, but this is a huge weakness in the show. No fucking way any cartel would deal with this.
SR clearly said they were like sons to him and it was clear that SR was about ready to cut ties with them and he doesnt give a fuck about what his son thinks. Why do you think he still went into business with Darlene after she blew off his son’s dick?
because he likes $$$ didn’t he threaten Marty too when he cut ties? If they were like sons to him that would give him even more reason to come after Marty again I thought they wouldn’t just go away quietly just my opinion
yeah did I miss where they made up with the mob? Didn’t frank SR blow up Marty’s office in the finale and then ep 1 they are working together again?
I know a lot of ridiculous stuff happens in this show and this is far from the most outlandish but it's killing me for some reason. Spoiler: Spoiler When Ben crashed the gala there is ZERO security stopping him. Like he's going HAM and no one but the Byrdes do a damn thing UNTIL he drills Marty in the face. BOOM, two security dudes tackle him.
I've started a few arguments over this so will kinda tread lightly here It's a greatly entertaining show, it's not a great show Fact of the matter is though, we all just wanna be entertained so maybe it's a great show
I really get annoyed at Ms. Byrd's facial expression, or lack thereof. No matter what it is the same face
I didn’t like what they did with the FBI agent this season. Felt like she didn’t even really keep Marty on his toes all that much, he manipulated her easily
How do they treat Ruth? Don't include anything done to Ruth by other people... the Byrds treat Ruth better than anyone else on the show.
Did she say that or did you say that? If you think a mom would choose her brother over her kids then you may need to actually meet a few females who have children. Wendy isn't a monster and never turned into one. She got drug into a cartel money laundering business and has been working to keep her kids safe and make the best out of a ridiculous situation by establishing legitimate business to support her family. Real monsterish stuff there. And I guess you slept through the 15 minutes of her showing a ton of emotion after giving her brother up tot he cartel. She literally sat in a WarnerMart parking lot crying and drinking a handle of vodka for a day. (while two people in an RV tailgated and barbecue'd which is hilarious) She also broke down on the side of the road and had to pull over from being hysterical. Ruths character was the exact same as it was in the first two seasons. Not sure where the complaints about the writers messing up her character are coming from. Of all the wild shit that happened in this season the most uncomfortable scene was the marriage proposal in the casino. "oh this was your mom's ring" "No the ring IS my mom's ashes, try her on"
agree with this and also most people haven't seen how shitty situations can get for bipolar/manic depressive people. that was a very accurate portrayal of someone going through a manic/hypomanic episode and just happened to be in the worst situation possible for endangering people around him.
may be in the minority, but I don't think Marty is evil or shitty or anything along those lines. I can't remember if his old business partner drug him into the cartel situation, but I kinda think that was the case... obv if it was his idea then he's a little evil for getting in bed with a cartel, but if his partner got him in and he's stuck there, then yea not evil or shitty. Is he manipulative? absolutely. But if people who got involved with Marty just do what he says, which is never something that purposefully means to hurt them but just keeps everyone safe from cartel hitmen - the whole situation is just fucking fine. People in the show get hurt or killed when they either 1- go against what Marty says because they think they know better or 2- they get greedy or stupid once they're involved and hatch up dumbass ideas. Ben should have left when Marty told him to. He'd be alive and well. Wendy take his advice about the 2nd casino. There wouldn't have been any FBI investigation at the Belle and all the negative consequences from that don't exist. The list goes on for damn near every character in the show. The guy may be the least sympathetic asshole on the show, but damn if everyone who chose to get or stay involved in the shitshow did what this MF told them to do, everyone would be safe.
