people could be wrong because the tiebreaker rules are very complicated but it sounds like oregon wins most tiebreakers with UW
I agree with that but is the Rose Bowl required to take the Pac 12 title loser? And is it even fair to assume USC is a lock to make the playoffs if they win out?
That's why I suggested Washington if they win might be a possibility if Oregon loses to Oregon State and USC again assuming USC makes the playoffs
it's not required but it's exceedingly likely. though i guess oregon losing its last 2 games could make washington (assuming they win out) an equally likely suggestion there's no way USC isn't in if they win out. they would finish the season with ranked wins vs ucla, oregon, and notre dame and their only loss would be by one to a ranked team on the road.
I don't agree, if TCU, Clemson, and LSU win out there could be shenanigans. Just beat Oregon State and we can avoid this mess please
who in this scenario gets in? UGA, UM/OSU winner, UM/OSU loser, and an undefeated tcu? i just don't see a way a 1-loss USC misses out as a conference champ. if TCU and Clemson both win out along with USC, i still don't see Clemson put ahead of them. and the conference win puts them above LSU and the UM/OSU loser no matter what IMO.
Waking up in late November and reading "what if" scenarios about the Trojans making the playoff? What a great season no matter what happens going forward.
Cal-furd Big Game game was a lot of fun. Down 17-6 with 13 minutes left, ended up winning 27-20. Very orderly storming of the field afterwards. Might have lost my voice. Two 3-7 teams so nobody cares but us, but it's local bragging rights for the next year
I don't know what the background is but if Oregon really lost Moore so Nix could play one more year, that sucks
it would never happen but saw a TikTok suggesting the best landing spot for DJ Uiagalelei was Corvallis. Great D, Great running game, etc in need of a starting QB...a little under the radar spot to to re-establish his career without every pass/decision being scrutinized by an overly-demanding fanbase that being said, JT Daniels wanted a house to transfer in, no way the Beavs have the NIL scratch to even warrant a sniff
If the tradeoff was Nix for a year or losing Moore to somewhere that guaranteed a starting role/opportunity, then I'll take Nix and assume we have a decent pipeline for a top 10 '24 QB that's close to Moore's upside. I'll always take the proven commodity at QB over going into next year with a true frosh QB. Punt to next year and hope we get a portal guy and a top QB recruit in next years class.
this is the beginning of many entertaining PAC 12 matchups where I like both teams and hope the games live up to the hype. Oregon - CU. Also excited for Oregon State - Wazzou.
Not quite sure what to think about the UO CU game. Neither team appears to be all that great. Don’t know if CU’s offense will be able to keep up with UO’s.
That’s my assumption. But hard to get a figure on what Oregon’s level is. Looked like dookie against Tech.
I mean anybody can let, umm, Tyler Slough go off on them 14 penalties? Didn't know Jay Norvell was also an Oregon coach.
CU has the #127 rush offense, and 119 rush defense (Oregon #17 rush offense). As hot September days transition to brisk evenings, these things start rearing their ugly head.
