Re-watching with my wife who watched off and on and it's still so damn funny. Jamm fuckin kills me every scene. On season 6 now and Ann leaving did nothing to hurt the show but I do miss Chris.
I think those two leaving ultimately helped. They had run their course and for the season they were gone, others had a chance to shine. Then when they come back on the finale, it was all the better
Leslie is behind Ron, Tom, Andy, April, Ben, Jean Ralphio for best characters on the show. I like Leslie, I just think a number of characters are better.
Mark gets a bad rap. He was kind of a douche but I got a kick out of his sarcasm. Wasn't sad to see him go though
i guess to say i "hated" him is wrong. but he was just so boring. i think it's telling that as soon as he's gone, they had their best run of the series (to be fair, it started while he was around, but the show got infinitely better with ben + chris - mark)
Well Ben and Chris were both really great characters. Doesn't necessarily mean Mark was bad that the show got better with those two. Basically Brandanowitz was an average character, which in Parks makes him stick out as a huge weak link because everyone is awesome
Seinfeld Arrested Development Parks and Rec Three shows I can just put on at any time and know I'm going to laugh.
its funny how many people have the last name lerpiss on the show the pawn shop guy, video store owner, the fat dude who wants lot 48 to be a paunch burger, joe mande is a lerpiss, they own a bunch of businesses
I'm looking for this night to kay-razy Caraaaaazy Kay-razy. How about a Snake Juice? I hear it has a dope aftertaste.
Funny seeing this thread on the first page as I just finished the series finale this morning. Great, great comedy. Probably in my top 5 with Seinfeld, The Office, Curb, and maybe IASIP. I liked Tom more in the early seasons. Andy also transformed from a lovable goofball to just a complete idiot. They made it seem as if it was a miracle that he could survive on his own.
Psh Andy is the best. He lived in a tent with his vermin colleagues for like half of season 2. he was always a complete idiot
Dude. Always Sunny and The Office don't even belong in the same conversation as Parks And I'm not even gonna get started on your Andy opinion
This is some Grade A level trolling right here because literally no one thinks that. Is this Farva? Are you Farva?
I disagree about Always Sunny but it's like comparing apples and oranges. Parks has amazing arcs and amazing moments in every episode. But I don't think any show not named Seinfeld or Arrested Development has as many amazingly memorable episodes as It's Always Sunny. The Office is garbage compared to both, imo.
Parks and Rec Producers Re-Team for Interracial Family Comedy at NBC By Rebecca Iannucci / September 3 2015, 5:47 PM PDT NBC has decided to treat itself to another comedy from Mike Schur. The Parks and Recreation co-creator will re-team with Matt Hubbard (who served as a consulting producer on the series) for an untitled single-camera comedy at the Peacock Net. According to our sister site Deadline, the potential series centers on Andrew and Josie, a happily married interracial couple whose lives take a turn when they move close to Josie’s family in Missouri. Hubbard will write the script (which has received a production commitment from NBC) and will exec-produce alongside Schur and David Miner. In August, the network gave a straight-to-series order to A Good Place, another comedy from Schur, about “a woman wrestling with what it means to be good.”
I don't know what my favorite episode of this show is but the Snake Juice one is far up there. "Just imagine you're in a situation where you're her boss and sex is forbidden." "That is our exact situation." "And, she's addicted to spanking."
The flu Ron and Leslie The fight (snake juice ep) Fancy party (April and Andy marriage) Animal control I could keep going
damn forgot to list those. those both have a special place in my heart bc they were the first two eps of the show I ever watched/fell in love with. those are definitely up there for me
Snake Juice, Commissary Burger v. Chris's Turkey Burger, and Soda Tax are maybe my top 3... but I can't really decide. I love so many episodes. Animal Control and the Lil Sebastian Memorial are up there, too.
