$17mil/yr for that
incredible business move by the ESPN folks
second Tweet perfectly encapsulates it.
This douche is getting $17 mil a year to do this?
5 years, $85mil contract
the Roll Tide clip is how I picture that entire Gameday show so that didn't bother me but McAfee feels so fake
If barstool were wrapped up into one person
God he just so...not funny
My wife likes GameDay a weird amount for how much she otherwise doesn't care about cfb. Within 5 minutes last weekend I hear "who is the new guy? he sucks and I can't watch this"
But he tries hard at it
Wasn’t he there all year last year?
I quit watching it a while back for the most part (we have been trash and the show got worse)
Do WVU fans hate him?
Lmao Jesus Christ.
doesn't devine love this guy?
Probably. Prater missed a fg to lose a shitty bowl game and don't think anyone ever forgave him as he had a good nfl career. This guy cost them a shot at the title so I'd assume he's so hated.
He was pretty popular on here when mentioned for a long time. Going to ESPN seems to have changed the view of him generally.
How is that dude only 36
He’s now their wealthiest alum so god I hope not
I don't have an issue with him but I dont consume espn or any of his other content outside of clips here and there so
As long as he's not a shitty person idc if he's a cheeseball.
It’s a Hail Mary for ESPN. Their ratings are toast and the business model is not sustainable. Throwing shit at the wall is now the strategy.
similar to Travis Kelce’s personality
I’m as far from frat boy barstool as it gets and I think he’s fun to watch mostly.
And Taylor Lewan
I got bad news for ya buddy…
Damn FSUmollz looks cute
he wears sleeveless shirts and curses holy cow this guy is a bad boy and he doesn’t give a good goshed dang who knows it
I used to watch his show here and there a while back and it was entertaining for the most part but seems as soon as he got on ESPN he turned his personality up times ten and it all just seems very forced and look at me. Rehearsed even.
I think he’s one of those small doses type people.
the best description of him i have heard is that someone told him he’s funny and he thought that meant he was like a comedian level funny and not simply funny for an athlete
Barstool and wwe had a dumb baby
Travis Kelce seems pretty chill to me most of the time.
Impressive with him giving up easy nfl punter money and becoming a giant in sports media so quickly.
Unfortunately I enjoy zero percent of his content or shtick. Too bad he didn’t become a full time wrestler.
One final thing: he does seem to be a good guy? Idk. Someone could have other stories.
I wish I could trick ESPN into giving me $85m.
All the staff they fired to afford him
Going from Pollack to him on Gameday was a huge downgrade for the show.
I don't care what you think of the guy but that is an insane deal for someone as unproven as him
My 73 year old father in law asked me this morning why that guy was on game day
Pollack was awful.
I’d only ever see the clips. AJ Hawk was the most likeable.
McAfee doesn’t the worst guy tbh but I’d agree on small doses.
Yeah pollack sucked so losing him is addition by subtraction. But adding mcaffee is subtraction by subtraction (of sleeves)
It was rich rods fault we lost the Pitt game but after the game him and his dad bashed wvu a good bit, he’s not really associated with wvu anymore at all
No YTTV when I select Texas Bama, I do not mean I want to watch mcaffee at the Bama game. Get the fuck out of here
Pollack was pretty bad, but you’re probably right. McAfee has become insufferable.
