always amused with stuff like McAfee where some people just can't see it and they're going to have to wait for the inevitable "oh fuck" moment (which, I'm guessing with him will be a #metoo thing) to join the rest of us. there is zero chance that dude is doing all the right things in life.
Im not a McAfee guy, but saying hes gonna get exposed for sexual assault because he is loud and wears stupid clothes is quite the leap!
His popularity and sudden rise to fame helped me realize I was growing out of touch and aging out of the young people demographic.
The idea of regularly watching his show is abhorrent to me. But from multiple people I know who have worked with and/or hung out with him he’s a fun, gracious, and nice guy to be around.
He's not for me, buuuuuuuttttt I have seen him breakdown film and enjoyed it. Wish he wasn't on Gameday, but if they're gonna let Corso stay on until he dies on set then at least it's... something. edit: should have read the thread.
Seems like a good dude, despite being a try hard. Doesn't mean he's funny or has any talent, because he doesn't ...
Gameday needed someone to liven up the crowd Mcaffe I like as a person, but is pretty damn annoying and goes to the same consistent phrases/bits as a broadcaster a lot If his podcast starts autoplaying on the YouTube queue I'll stop what I'm doing to change it even if I'm in the middle of something.
I agree with the general sentiment of the thread but also don't mind him. He seems like a nice guy despite having dumb slapstick qualities. I also rarely watch Gameday, usually I'm out running a few errands before the games kick off at 10am local.
because they can't get rid of Lee Corso, been a part of gameday since 1987 and really should've hung it up 10 years ago.
Man I hate him so much. That said, Reece Davis was clearly sick last night calling the game so I wonder if there was actually something going around. That said, such an embarrassment for ESPN being associated with him
What prompted Leaf/Dickert commenting? That was the response and has been everywhere, but I can’t find what he said last week to make them upset.
It’s not an embarrassment for ESPN because it’s catering to their barstool audience without somebody/something that has obvious connections with misogynist connections (and later shit). The goal was for them to always go down this road so they found the one guy who has a good standing behind the scenes but brings that crowd in (and I’m not saying shit, I listened to the Rodgers interviews, as a packers fan, before I realized he was a anti-jab truther and they just allowed him to go crazy with no pushback). You are now going to get him doing what he always seemed to do, which is be loud, wwe style sportscasting geared towards an audience (I’m not even saying this is bad, it’s his style, whatever) but with the backing of Disney/ESPN and their corporate, make all-the-money agenda. It’s another case of the billionaires playing sketch with the millionaires to pull in a certain demographic. tldr: this is the billionaires using the millionaires to bring in certain eyeballs. It’s going to be cringeworthy and they don’t give a shit. Just don’t watch
