The marathon training program is pretty cool. The strength part is great. Only thing that sucks is doing this keeps me from riding more. Did a 30 min strength and the HIIT and Hills ride yesterday and shit I was worn out. Also are you guys doing the yoga and meditation classes or am I the only hippy doing them? Sleep meditation is clutch.
Did BAE’s 30 min class. Hope they do a 60 min one. Also reading the last page and someone not loving Robin’s style was crazy to me.
Alex is my favorite hands down. But love mixing in Robyn when I need my ass kicked, then Emma and Kendall for reasons.
Did my first 60 min ride tonight. Cody Rigsby is gay as hell but I enjoy him. 540 kj burned and over 750 calories. Sweat like a got-damn running faucet.
I own my own business and have the good fortune of setting my own schedule. I have a standing calendar appointment every day for 60 minutes to ride during the workday. If I have something come up and I can’t make that time, I’ll ride after the kids go to bed. I’d give anything to be the guy that gets up and works out in the morning, but that’s just not me. My wife gets up at 5am every day and does yoga, meditates and writes in a journal. I usually mutter “proud of you” as I’m falling back asleep and she’s getting out of bed.
I'm at my sister's who has a peloton, tell me some very hard workout I can do(30 minutes would be ideal) to do better than you fruitcakes.
Take a tabata class with Robin Arzon. Better yet; My 30-minute PR is on Jenn Sherman’s Y2K ride from 6-4-19. Take that and tell me your output, tough guy.
Sister may be working from home tomorrow so give me a day or 2 to see how I stack up with you studs. Thought tabatas were 20 seconds on/10 off, doesn't seem to fit peloton.
Guess I always viewed it as a quicker workout. 8 sets of 20 on/10 off, I've done a few thought I'm not into CrossFit at all. Do like tabatas.
Tabata rides are tough for sure. But IMO they're mentally a little easier than just a regular challenging ride because you know exactly what will happen. Do this ride: 30 min Hip Hop Ride OLIVIA AMATO·CYCLING Wed 7/31/19 @ 6:30 AM Olivia is crazy challenging. I hopped on that ride this summer when I was in prime riding shape and PRing every week and haven't done an Olivia ride since. She's crazy hard and it's all the more frustrating because it never looks like she herself is struggling.
I’m somewhat tempted to never end this consecutive day streak. Today was day 22 in a row and I hit another 45-minute PR of 720 on Alex’s hip hop ride. It was a banger.
What is this? How’s it different than the regular classes? Also, did my first 45 min class with Alex Toussaint. Loved him. Broke my KJ record for a 45 min ride.
LOL nah I’ll be up at 7 my time to go on my run. that’s why I said I’d do the 8 am class with robin. We will eat dinner about 6 so I go on my run cook breakfast for my wife and daughters and she takes over the kitchen.
My King! Turkey Burn is like a regular class but it’s hyped up since it’s a holiday so thousands of people will ride live. Kinda cool to be part of the mix.
just what the class is called. You’ll probably get a special badge for doing it there one at 5 with Alex and one at 8 with Robin those times are PST.
Turkey Burn is going to be hell tomorrow. I’m battling a cold that hit me like a ton of bricks in the middle of the night. I’m currently trying to sweat it out with a 60-minute scenic but struggling.
I am hoping it’s a light drizzle so I can go run. It’s one of my simple pleasures. Running in the game is great.
I would avoid the head to head with me as well. We know what happened last time. Have to keep your confidence high.
Riding through it seems to help me. Maybe it’s just an endorphin boost but it at least provides some short-term help.
Will do the turkey class in the morning, a few hours later, supposed to rain all morning here. IT band is finally getting better so def working in running and a few yoga classes. Added about 12lbs bc I decided to push thru and summit Mt Whitney on a back packing trip Miss our mileage competitions. I remember that 1 week I won.
Did a 60 min climb with Cody Rigsby this morning. PR’d for output again. Got up to a 91 resistance. I can’t believe how worth the money this bike is.
Fuuuuuck I really don’t want to do Turkey Burn. Have been cleaning all morning and abstaining from booze while wife has been throwing back mimosas.
