I don't take classes from Robin, Christine, Jess, Jenn. The rest are all good. Don't think they have any bad ones on strength or yoga.
that’s true but when I got my bike her and Jacobs were probably the two toughest instructors. So she gave me my hardest classes.
Agreed at the start, although did as many JJ rides as I could to avoid Robin. Now Olivia has Robin on the hardest classes IMO.
Neither Olivia nor Kendall were there when I first started. JJ and Robin were the two toughest imo. Emma has always been BAE. I don’t mind Robin’s enthusiasm because I think her story is aspiring and I realize it reaches many that need that to get pumped up. I personally don’t that is why I gravitate towards more mellow instructors.
Took a climb class after finishing build your powerzone program. I did not enjoy it and can’t imagine doing classes outside of PZ moving forward.
i love climb rides. What didn’t you like about it? It’s funny and tells you how different people because I personally hate PZ classes.
I go in spurts on PZ. After the build your program I couldn't do a week straight of those classes. Getting back into adding a class or two but otherwise I just do other classes and implement PZ targets throughout the ride.
JJ’s climb rides were brutal. Robin’s tabatas are hard as hell but her motivational stuff about being a bad bitch and putting on your crown, would annoy me. So I’d only do her classes like once a week at most or if I wanted a short ass kicker.
Imma show my prejudice right quick. Having 3 Latina daughters I can’t help but like a strong Latina. Robin, Jess and Hannah will always be good in my book because they are fighting multiple stereotypes.
I don’t disagree, and don’t mind her being proud of what she accomplishes, it’s just distracting when I’m sweating. Maybe annoy was a bit strong but it just seemed like multiple times a class she’d go off on a quick tangent.
like I said that’s just my prejudice. And why I give her yes queen stuff more of a pass than others do. Jess King is Latina too so I give her a pass too. Emma being mixed makes me like her more too. Kendall coming clean with her mental health issues makes me like her more too.
I used to love climb rides. It just felt really disorganized and having no structure. I will probably do an Alex ride tomorrow and see what it is like.
lol that’s exactly what I hate about PZ classes too structured. I like classes that seem to incorporate everything. Like a 90s class that has a little bit of everything. I have been stacking classes cycling , strength and stretching. I have a problem with structure lol
New 30 minute PR tonight with Sam. Wasn’t even feeling that it was close to that until the last few minutes, love his classes. Always has a great playlist and mixes in variety of climbs.
Anyone else having their output not showing all 3 digits in the workouts tab of the app on their phone? It still says the full output on the details, but it’s annoying not seeing it right in the summary of all workouts.
Finally got my shoes back from Nike, think I’m going to do my first free ride tonight to get a feel for everything. Can’t wait.
Is there a specific way I should apply my cleats? I tried to get them below the palm of my foot, but wasn’t sure if that’s the way to do it.
I did an older Denis ride yesterday and he had long hair pulled back in a man bun. With his short hair he just seemed like a regular dude who wandered into the studio and decided to lead a class. With the long hair I was like "Oh, now you seem like a Peloton instructor."
Have you tried the peloton shoes as well? Debating getting the nike ones, the peloton hurt my feet. also, leaderboard name?
Nike ones are way better. Seem more stable around the ankles and more breathable. White, black and iirc the yellow ones are all on sale at NDC
I didn’t get the Peloton ones, as when I was doing research everything I read about the Nike’s was that they were far more comfortable. And I haven’t set up yet as I didn’t want to sign up for membership until I had the shoes to actually ride effectively. Will post once I get set up.
rv12 and anyone else interested those 3 colors on sale for a little bit over 70. I just picked up the white ones so I can have an extra pair. Might get the yellow ones too. At that price seems crazy not to pick up at least one more pair.
Ive had no issues with the Peloton ones. Been solid for 4 years. But everyone's feet are different. Do you know which ones you have?
they don’t come with the clips so you have to buy them. I assume yes. Like I said I went to a bike shop bought the clips there and had them install them for me.
of which? The peloton ones the black ones. The Nike I have the super rep in black just bought the white ones and debating getting the yellow ones. https://www.nike.com/t/superrep-cycle-mens-indoor-cycling-shoes-bsXw1J/CW2191-348
I’m not sure how shoes could be more comfortable? I have the peloton shoes. At first they’d hurt my ankle some because they were cut lower, but it’s no longer an issue. No clue if I have the cleat in the right position, tho. It seems to be ok.
Has anybody had an issue with one of the pedals making a clicking noise? Our right pedal does. Seems to be kind of random when it does it, not specific to a certain resistance nor in/out of saddle. Does it for my wife as well as me. She said she tried tightening her cleats and it didn’t help.
I have this issue and it does it for me but not my wife. I think it has more to do with my foot position/leaning forward too much than it does the bike, as I can make it stop if I move my foot back/heel down a bit. Would be interested to see if others have suggestions on how to make it stop permanently.
Yeah it seems if I try to re-position myself it'll stop for a little bit. Maybe I keep going to back to another form naturally? Internet has all kinds of ideas on what it could be, lol.
Did a rhythm class sample class tonight and I have some regrets. Was more looking for a bike ride than a spin class with all the up and down/back and forth. My fat ass is kicked.
