Please be true.
I like that hire for them. Not sure if it’s the best job for Moorhead to take, I would have waited for something better.
Wonder what he will get paid, they were making it rain on Mullen.
That's a great hire
dump just got Pelican ‘d
Moorhead is awesome.
Also you can say "more head" like he gets BJs hahahah
Good for him. Weird fit but he will have a chance to win right away there. Hope he crushes it.
Also he’s not a very good recruiter so he’s gonna have to have a killer staff to make up the difference.
Mullen won 7-8 games per year, with zero pressure, and parlayed it into UF. State is a great first HC job, especially considering the state of the program now vs then.
Pelican is the best in the business
its a honor losing to him
This is how you run a coaching search
Very odd fit. Maybe Franklin covered up another rape. Who knows.
Really makes you think
We will see. The reason Mullen parlayed that into the UF job is because what he did there is very difficult to do.
I have my doubts that they can maintain the current level. But I really like Moorhead as a coach so maybe he can do it.
Aim for the sky, Pruitt.
so, franklion sucks again?
Outstanding hire. Get him out of the B1G East
They’ve had an incredible run of ADs here lately. Byrne, Stricklin, and now Cohen.
Congarts Clanga. Great hire.
Hearing he's keeping grantham as DC. I think this was one of the best scenarios we could ask for. Granted I don't know much other than what I've read about Moorhead. What do the B1G people think of him?
He is an awesome offensive mind and coach. Pretty creative/innovative.
lol Pruitt isn’t getting the FSU job
Congrats #Florida Gators
What was Mullen making at MSU?
He's a top notch OC but this season he's put our offense in some bad situations, even against awful teams. Our OL has been dreadful since mid-October and he continuously runs these awful slow-developing runs that effectively took Barkley out of the Heisman race.
He's not a great recruiter but I'd expect him to put together a nice staff. It's a bizarre fit considering he's never coached west of Akron or south of Georgetown. Not sure how he's going to handle the SEC mentality. I think it's a good hire though. Hope he does well down there.
I believe 4.5 and we offered 6 to stay. Pretty much same as what FL offered. We can only go 4 years at a time while they can go 7 years. He was going to TN if FL didn't come along. He was ready for a change.
I hope he succeeds. But like others have said, it’s a weird fit. He will need a strong staff
It is not so funny when you realize he is penn state coach
$4.5MM in Starkville is like $45MM in the developed world.
Actually he's Mississippi State's coach. You'd think you would have read the title of a thread you posted in
How can I get moorehead when my wife never gives me any to begin with! Lmao
So true. My college roommate just built his house outside Starkville a couple years ago. 10 acres and a nice house for $100,000 less than what I'm living in on 1/4 acre in FL.
Of my roommate making good life choices, yes it is.
Joe Moorhead is the oldest looking 44-year-old dude I’ve ever seen.
Mullen is only 45.
Yeah but the hunch makes him look younger.
That's pretty much true for all of Mississippi.
True, to a degree, but even more so with Starkville.
God I love this ridiculous city
Now hearing if Grantham goes Don Brown from Michigan is coming as the DC. Looks like the B1G is wanting to get some sun and warmth.
