Excited as hell for this rightchea The Austin Symphony presents Pixar In Concert, featuring Pixar movie clips with live music February 17 in Dell Hall.
They sold out when they made the second Cars movie. They've always done this. They make some movies for acclaim...some to sell toys. And then Toy Story, for acclaim and to sell toys.
i feel they have only done this with one franchise, the Cars franchise. Look at the ratings and reviews of literally every other movie they've made. Brave and Good dinosaur were the worst received and they weren't money grabs, just had character flaws.
I'll give Disney/Pixar its Cars cash grab in exchange for the amazing stories they have given and will continue to give us every other year.
Monsters University is by far the worst... and I actually like The Good Dinosaur. Otherwise the rankings are pretty good.
Details on Pixar's Dia de Los Muertos movie: Without further ado, we present the plot of Coco, along with its leading voice cast: Despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz (voice of Benjamin Bratt). Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector (voice of Gael García Bernal), and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history. Character actress Renée Victor also joins the cast as Abuelita, Miguel’s grandmother.
At this point Pixar has earned my blind trust with whatever they put out that isn't an obvious merchandise grab.
As the father of a 2.5 year old I can tell you that 9 of that 10 billion has come from my bank account
Agree it seems a ripoff and agree Book of Life was really good. Love the apologetic bull fighting scene.
It seems like these things are in development for forever... but then you have Bugs Life/Antz come out at the same time, Nemo/that one with a shark? come out at the same time, etc.
saw 3 today enjoyed it more than the other two and i'm almost positive that it had very little mater in it better plot than the other two as well
Never saw #2 but every review I have read says the same thing. Better than the 1st two and minimal mater
not at all there is zero mention of anything relating to cars 2 also kids are fucking wizards Spoiler: proof there's a sleep well motel sign in a scene and my son yells "hey, toy story". i'm like what the fuck? what does that have to do with toy story? the hotel bonnie and mom stay at in the toy story of terror short is the sleep well. never would've caught that without one of those youtube videos showing me the hidden shit.
Wall-E easily. Up has a couple super feels moments and a boss lead character that make it higher rated than it should be. Kevin, Russell and the dog wear me out after repeated viewings. Lots of simpler jokes that aren't what make Pixar what they are. Wall-E never gets old, the character development without speaking, the music, it's criminally underrated by many.
Plus every time you watch you get to walk around for a few hours saying WAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLL EEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Updated have seen (In my personal order of ranking): Ratatouille, The Incredibles, Toy Story, Nemo, Cars, Toy Story 2, A Bugs Life, Dory Still haven't seen for some reason but have downloaded: Wall-E, Up, Inside Out (watched on a date for 20 minutes and got distracted but reminded me of the disney attraction Cranium Command), Monsters Inc
Monster's inc is my favorite pixar (just personal pref know it's probably not tops out there for most). Absolutely LOVE Inside out. The jokes, the feels, all get me big time. Already stated how big I am on Wall-e. You've got some work to do my friend. I would have to think about a full breakdown but my tops are : Monsters Inc, Incredibles, Ratatouille, Toy Story 1&3, Nemo, and Inside Out
bing bong got me always, but now that I have a kid I don't think I've watched it again, as the scenes with the parents consoling their daughter already got me bad, I'm going to lose it now
i understand the murder, but am I forgetting a suicide scene? edit - hit me, when the guy attempts but Mr. Incredible saves him.
