That album is a 14 song run. The back to back to back point came from an argument I had with a friend yesterday. but you’re right, those 5 tracks consecutively are ridiculous
I rip shit with pimp shit I’m slinging it from the south. Talk bad about the A-Town I’ll bust you in your fuckin mouth.
Have you heard the new Spillage Village album? It’s a collective headed up by Earthgang and their newest album Spilligion is just about the best thing ever
Only a few tracks on my Earthgang shuffle. I have a long drive this week, planning on doing a full listen.
It’s no knock on Earthgang but I always hedge the “closest to Outkast” with sure but lyrically/flow they can’t touch Andre 3000 but no one can. They have such a similar vibe/energy and sound to Outkast but they’re missing that heavier rap vibe.
Oh I agree heavy but Jonny Venus is very charismatic. Neither can touch either Kast guys in the booth but they’ve got a funky style and big personalities that definitely remind me of Kast at times
When Kanye says “3 stacks help me out” on 30 hours... I prep myself for the verse that never happens:( every time.. BB and 3 stacks are and will always be my favorite
Man after CunninLynguists dropped Dirty Acres I was thinkin they were gonna come close But yeah, just cant be done
This might be tough because everyone itt is so well-versed in their catalog but I propose we name one underrated/overlooked song from each album. Myintrotoletuknow Wheelz of Steel West Savannah Spaghetti Junction and Red Velvet Flip Flop Rock/Spread or A Life in the Day The Train
No idea what counts as underrated but here’s a shot: Funky Ride/Crumblin Herb Millennium Da Art of Storytellin Pt 2/ Y’all Scared Slum Beautiful (?) Rooster/ A Life in the Day Chronomentrophonia
Is Synthesizer from Aquemini underrated? Bc I rate it highly "My nose ain't right, think I need a new one Just take your pick, a yellow, red, a black or a blue one"
Beat's lit too, and all the interlude stuff "In tonight's news, 20th century technology: Has the computer age, scientists, and doctors gone too far? Einstein or Frankenstein? Dr Scholl's, or Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde? Are we digging into new ground Or digging our own graves? Story at 11"
As I sit....in my b-boy stance with flip flops and socks. Im finna enhance your brain.... I tell my kids all the time, I’m in my b-boy stance what do you think is getting ready to happen
West Savannah is one of my favorite outkast songs ever, but is definitely a deep cut. "As long as there's that tic tic, followed by that bump." Hootie hoo / D.E.E.P. Decatur Psalm Snappin' and Trappin' Ghetto Musik (gets me hyped) -- "feeling good, feeling great // feeling great, feeling good, how are you?"
