Yo, this new Goodie Mobb is pretty good. I had pretty low expectations and am pleasantly surprised so far.
Been listening to a lot of speakerboxxx lately and forgot how much I love this song. Killer Mike’s feature is insane.
And the Intro is batting 1000 for giving me goosebumps. What an outrageous 90 seconds to start an album with.
“I haven’t done Speakerboxxx in while. I’ll throw that on.” 30 seconds later my jaw is the floor yet again
Every verse is great. "When I'm in the mood I rock the S Dot tennis shoes" opening of Jay's always gets me. Not sure why that is so catchy but it always sticks w me

Don’t pull the thang out unless you plan to bang (because they got some shit that’ll blow out your back, from where they stay at)
given his fickle nature, he will make one and just never release it to the public. there have been rumors for years about an album. not holding my breath
While I'd love a new album from him, everyone getting excited for it and it turning out to be a flute album is funny af.
Right but it's just a flute album right? Just saying that when rumors of a new album came out, everyone was excited thinking it was a new rap album. To find out it's just flute is funny. For the first time in over 17 years, André 3000 is releasing an album of new music. New Blue Sun — announced today and set to be released this Friday, Nov. 17 — is a stunning 87-minute mind-bender, minimalist and experimental, tribal and transcendent. One thing it is not, however, is a rap record: No bars, no beats, no sub-bass. André doesn't sing on this joint, either. What he does do is play flute, and plenty of it — contrabass flute, Mayan flutes, bamboo flutes — along with other digital wind instruments. In place of lyrics, he offers eight provocative song titles, the first of which almost reads like a lowkey apology, with a wink of irony: "I swear, I Really Wanted To Make A 'Rap' Album But This Is Literally The Way The Wind Blew Me This Time."
To this day it’s still my favorite album. Came out my senior of HS. Our band played Spottieottie in the 4th quarter of football games.
The first song being titled: “I swear I wanted to make a rap album but this is literally where the wind blew me” is money. I’ll be up at midnight to listen to my absolute favorite rapper oat play the flute for 90 minutes
1998 has two of my favorite albums ever Aquemini Moment Of Truth it was the year I learned to actually listen to and love the art form
well if he's going for some experimental/abstract album he definitely got the right drummer in Deantoni Parks
considering I'm 45 now I'd listen to a rap album talking about having to get a colonoscopy and my eye sight going bad, since I relate better with that stuff than going to a club or picking up randoms etc. but I dig it do what makes you happy.
