Didn't know it was being turned into a movie. Dicaprio and Scorsese adapting this book is gonna be Best Picture.
Lots of soccer podcasts, Spontaneanation, The Dead Authors podcast (Andy Daly as L Rob Hubbard episodes are my favorite episodes of any podcast this year) and the How Did This Get Made's of movies I've seen before. And Womp it Up.
Never Not Funny, Who Charted?, With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus When Stern is on for the week, it usually fills my listening but I make time for CBB. When he's on vacation, I fill in with the above shows.
Started that sword and scale. People suck but episode 5/6 has gotta be bs right? Please tell me its bs. Its horrible.
I don't think it is. That whole thing is fucked up and I hate to be a Shu but I can see that place as being a real thing
Someone should make some Netflix documentaries from those sword and scale stories. The one about abducted children and politician/police parties, and one on that school for boys in florida would we interesting.
Just woke up. I started a podcast with a friend of mine last year. Right now we use a Blue Snowball Mic and Garageband. Most things are fine but we have a couple issues. We pick up radio frequencies often. We have to twist the cord in a whole manner of ways to stop it. Is that as quick a fix as buying a new cord? Also, I want to start using two mics soon so we aren't just standing right next to each other. How would I go about setting that up-splitters, equipment, and does that affect Garageband at all?
Trail Mix is a podcast that follows election campaigns and current events about them. Its okay. From scripps, who puts out decodedc.
Gino is awesome. Probably will be on the show more this year after Aukerman was so complimentary of him on the year end stuff.
It's been my favorite in the series so far. Mostly because I didnt know too much about it. Feel like you could study both Haitian and French Rev for years and never fully grasp or understand it
I can't stand that fucking voice. I haven't made it through an episode with them, so maybe I'm wrong.
the only regular guest I have trouble with is Ben Schwarz. It's hit or miss when he's on. Sometimes all the singing can produce some funny bits, but it mostly annoys me.
Just be aware that it is different and when you see certain guests that are famous and you may really like there is potential they are going to be a character. The show is one of my two favorite podcasts that I listen to religiously. A good first ep might be last Thursday's with Rob Huebel.
there's also quite a few recurring characters with a ton of ongoing backstories that can confuse you if you're new. I started late, around the year end episodes last year, but promptly plowed through every episode recorded in a couple of months.
It's funny because they always joke about it during the recording of the annual 'best of' podcasts, but the best of's might be a good starting point as well. You'll get bits of the best shows while getting a feel for what the show is. Though the commentary between clips between Scott & PFT might be a bit tough to take w/o context.
My favorite episode ever though is probably from this last Christmas with John Lennon, Maxwell Keeper, Gino, Ho Ho, and Andrew Lloyd Webber.
I love the VERY same episode! Twas a joy that the very Time Keeper became a hit. If I had to go with an all-time fav it would probably be the Michael Abelson episode with Ho Ho, Werner Herzog, Jean Claude Pepi, and an appearance by Santa Claus.
