Anyone besides IV and myself playing? I bought Moon. I'll post my Nintendo friend code when I get a chance to look at it later. Started playing the demo last night. Seems pretty good. IGN gave it a "9.0 - Awesome" rating Spoiler pokemon
Haven't played a pokemon since Fire Red, but I will be watching the twitch marathons of this game starting friday
I actually have done no resear h whatsoever on the games (for the first time since gen1) so i may not end up with moon.
I'm going to end up with Moon because the lady wants Sun because of the admittedly total badass lion legendary.
I'm bummed sun doesn't get the warewolf. I might just end up getting both and running through moon with like a nuzlocke or something
I finished my pokedex. Got all of the pokemon it is possible to catch outside of events. Got my key item that makes it easier to find shiny mon. Did a lot of GTS trading.
preordered the game on amazon a few days ago. have prime and picked two day shipping. says it's due to ship tomorrow for delivery tuesday, even though i read its release day delivery... amazon better not screw me on this.
If it doesn't come in. Bitch them out. Same thing happened with madden for me last year. They gave me $20 back on the game
Mine is supposed to deliver tomorrow with Amazon. They are apparently really backordered on these games and all their warehouses are at capacity and aren't accepting trucks until inventory goes down. That's what I read on reddit anyway
I preordered mine months ago, I got the notification that it shipped on Wednesday so I should be good.
5 bucks from amazon because release day delivery ended nov 7 apparently but they didn't want me to be pissed at getting it on tuesday. asked that they ship quicker but its too far along in the process apparently.
Technically you can cancel the order and just download the game onto your SD card if you just can't wait
Also everyone make sure to download and complete the demo. You can transfer the Ash-Greninja you get as well as any items you find to the main game
so is this similar to X and Y in regards to how many pokemon are available in the routes or more like the others? I felt X and Y gave out far too many pokemon and most of them were far too good for how early they were available (Honedge 20 minutes in for example). It kind of ruined the games.
According to IGN you have access to more of the world and a wider variety of Pokémon right at the start. So probably opposite of what you want
Started with Litten, saw the final evolved forms in serebii and it's not even close which is coolest looking. Don't know which ones base stats and movesets will end up being best though
One of my roommates assured me the Alola pokedex only has like 300, which is quite different than the 650 in X and Y. So seems like I will be getting Moon and the grass starter...well, whenever I find my 3ds charger.
Rocking a Litten, Munchlax, Slowpoke, Pikipek, Yungoos and Metapod at the moment. Just finished trainers school.
couple pokemon bank questions. 1) is the r/b/y bank available now so you can trade to sun and moon? 2) can you trade between x/y and sun/moon (or as/or to s/m for that matter)? 3) will my genesect code work for sun and moon?
1. Not yet 2. I know you can't use the Pokémon bank until January to transfer OR/AS/X/Y to S/M but I'm not sure about trading 3. No clue but I don't think so
so the game came in and i have found out all of these are accurate. was planning on putting each starter in the bank and then just having all 3 at the get go. alas that ain't happening now since i'm not restarting game come january.
That was going to be my plan too but damn it takes a long time to get to a Pokémon center. Wouldn't have been worth it anyway
yeah seriously. this has to be the longest i've waited to get a starter in any of the games i've played. i feel like i'm near an hour in and haven't gotten to the first pokemon center yet.
Yeah the game intro/tutorial part was waaaay too long. Gets a lot better from there. Really enjoyed the variety of Pokémon early on. Glad I didn't have to waste time raising a bunch of raticates and beedrills I knew I would never use after level 18 or so
downloaded the demo to my 2DS and it was pretty fun (you get to use Pikachu for a bit which just draws me right in). I never played a "modern" pokemon game (just some time with Yellow). also theres a $100 3DS black friday deal out there if someone is looking to get in on this.
Spoiler Not sure if it's tomorrow or Black Friday. But I'm on this shit like a hawk, I need my own DS since I was only using the gf's. Edit: AC Adapter sold separately. Lol, what is this world.
girl should have one you can borrow yeah? also the old DS charger works on the 3ds as well if you have had one of those.
I'm just unnecessarily complaining. They're like $8 anyways. Either way, excited to have my own system, and enslave all the wild Pokes.
Yea if i didnt already have the 2DS...which for a part time gamer on it, it's a perfect system...even if it's meant for small kids who would otherwise break a 3DS. Not sure if there is a deal for it this week but i got mine for $60 including Mario Kart 7. Something to keep an eye on too. Obviously no 3D effects but still not sure how much that even matters.
