I swear my Chansey lost like 25 HP when I made him into Blissey. I might be imagining things, though. more than doubled in CP tho.

 

Lapras is nerfed hard. 20-25% CP loss. never will be viable in gyms as defender again. should be fine as attacker though.

seeing no other CP nerfs from your usual gym regulars.

Hitmon candy is now Tyrogue candy. will probably be a 10k egg hatch. I could make the Hitmonchan I'm missing if I can get one.

just hit 27 yesterday, will be interested to see how quick I hit 28 between the XP for new pokemon, the bonus first throw XP, and me just catching as much gen 2 shit as I can for the coming weeks.

 

Someone asked but stones and such are from pokestop spins? And eevee randomly evolve into umbreon, espeon also now or different way to get those two?

2. Yes, but there is a name trick to get ONLY one of each for sure. Sakura for Espeon, Tamao for Umbreon.

my very early impression is this is an amazing update. they've increased ways to get XP, improved throw physics drastically (should make for more efficient use of balls once you get the muscle memory), and improved ways for us to get more candy and stardust from catching (3, 5, or 10 candy depending on evo stage) and evolving (2 candy and 200 stardust for stage 1 evolve, 7 candy and 400 dust for stage 2 evolve).

I said all along if people beared with it the game would get really good and fun, this is likely just the start. I'm guessing we get trading and PvP around the 1 year anniversary.

Today was fun, caught some shit on the way home and took the kids to the park afterwards and caught some more. Meatball has a Pokeboner right now

 

Quick move is much slower fighting in gyms

 

I'm one of those who never played Gen II so I have no clue if what I'm catching is good or not, which is kind of fun.

Some spider looking thing ran off on me despite loading it with razzes and using ultra balls.

I went 3-4 months without playing but picked it up again a few weeks ago and am now
addicted again. Barely ever around a gym long enough to do anything though.

 

rejoice for Gyardos can no longer learn Twister. Twister is also a 3 bar move now (all moves are 1, 2, or 3 bars now) which probably makes it OK.

 

So far tonight caught 21 new ones, need a kings rock and Dragon scale to get my kingdra and slowking, and I now have this guy from a metal coat drop.

 

oh and after being pissed that i never got a porygon during the event, i hatched one from a 5k today. very happy.
