This approach kills me. Like, I get the point of hanging on to candies/stardust/etc strategically for a few months, but to plan for like 10 updates from now is a little silly. Props to your patience.
Just did a raid battle with a golden egg that ended up being a Blastoise. Took 9 of us to defeat him but I ended up not being able to catch him. Needless to say I'm pretty pissed
I can't think of a raid I want to do less than any of the gen 1 evolved starters. They're virtually useless in the meta and have a frustratingly low capture rate.
I haven't tried a raid yet, do you basically tag team one 'mon with other players for the chance to catch it?
I mean it may be 5 years away but Mega Venasaur and Mega Charizard X and Y have use. Blastoise however still remains pretty useless
Depends on the level. I have yet to see anyone at a 3 or more star mon so I have only taken down the 1 and 2 by myself. Loaded with Magmar now though.
Have done 3 raids solo with pink eggs, was easy peasy. Tried my first yellow/gold egg raid today and was getting my ass kicked before time ran out. It was a Lapras with 23,000+ CP recommended 17 participants. One other person showed up. It wasn't pretty.

it'll be something like that. they forced the API yesterday which is always what they do before something big and there was something about a special Pikachu in a recent apk mining. I'm sure it'll be big reward stuff.
Niantic CEO was quoted in an article saying if the game wasn't beyond their expectations as far that initial server meltdown we'd have PvP and trading by now, says he thinks they're 6 months behind where they thought they'd be. the takeaway here seems to be that trading will definitely be a thing. if I had to guess, I would imagine they would turn stops or gyms into a meeting area and you and a friend go there and click a button to go into a lobby and then you can make trades. hopefully people use this to just send things down the stream so eventually everyone can complete the dex although I wouldn't be surprised to see them lock regionals in place. if they ever switch regionals around then you'd probably know the answer.

Catch another pikachu with a hat and pay money for stuff you can get free in the game isn't all that enticing for a grand 1 year anniversary.
6 incubators, 6 max revives, 2 premium raid passes, and 20 ultra balls the first three you can get for 1280 coins from the store already...don't know how much 20 UBs are worth though
The 6 Incubators and 2 raid passes cost 1100, the box is 1200. Not much of a sale, won't be getting it. I couldn't give less of a shit about max revives or ultra balls.

Reports on Reddit saying that Pineco and Mantine now hatch from 5km eggs instead of 10km eggs. Great stealth change if true, eliminates two of the pure shit hatches from 10km
Lol, Spinarak now apparently hatches from 2k eggs though Gen 2 starters now hatch from 5k eggs, along with Teddiursa, Houndour and...Hopip. Porygon and Chincou now hatch from 10k eggs.
