Celebi has a shit ton of time gates.

Stage 4 is walk 10 km, evolve an Eevee into Espeon, prewalked ones don't count.

Stage 5 is same thing, but into Umbreon.

Stage 6 is spin pokestops 7 days in a row.

 

Same. Evolved that fucker while I was on stage 5, caught my last ghost, and saw the next quest was Magikarp.

I finally caught one on my sons account yesterday

 

I'm on day two of stage 6. Stage 7 you need to catch 40 grass or psycho type pokemon and the rest is easy. Make an excellent curveball throw and earn a gold johto metal (70 in pokedex). Stage 8 is catch the bitch.

 

I made sure to walk my eevee last night to 4.8km after my 10km for espeon so I could have an easy candy for umbreon today. Then it reset and I was irritated at the time wasted. It is super time gatey.

 

well yea, when you change your buddy all your previous candy progress resets

 

that was my issue, i figured my new espeon would keep the KM's previously earned when it was eevee, but it reset on evolution. i don't pay close enough attention to realize these things i guess.

 

you would have had to reset regardless because you need to evolve eevee again

 

if i had known i'd just use another eevee that i didn't plan on evolving until umbreon. that would've probably worked unless you have to evolve the buddy one.

Are Larvitar more common or did my biome change while I was away? It feels like I’ve caught at least one a day since I came back

 

They are johto, and all johto appear more during the festival.

Go to high traffic areas (malls or parks with a lot of stops) and just go after normal Pokemon. Percentage wise you should get one that day

Best trade so far for me with my son. These were two 71 IV's.

 

One advantage of living on the land of 10,000 lakes is there are plenty of magikarp

 

I am surrounded by water on a peninsula, so it is not awful. Just a little bit of work.

 

I picked a really shitty time to hoard 10k eggs to hatch at once because it got me stuck on that step for Celebi. I'm hatching them all right now because of the stardust event so hopefully I can have Celebi in a couple weeks.

 

As soon as it’s daylight I can evolve this Eevee into an Espeon and move one to stage 6.

 

The eevee part was the easiest part for me because I have an hour commute each way that keeps me in slow moving traffic for 50 minutes of it; took only two full days to knock it out.

 

But Espeon is the first part, Umbreon is the 2nd part
