How long have you guys been playing? I’ve only been playing for like 3 months

 

2... years... I still have 12 to go in the first region.

mewtwo raid battles (no EX), and all region specific kanto pokemon in 7km eggs till end of september.

 

Finally a use for 7km eggs again. I’ve long since exhausted their usefulness.

Same. If anyone wonders why I go days without opening a gift sometimes, it’s because I don’t want anymore fucking 7km eggs.

I open the gifts to get eggs for two reasons...stardust and KM/candy bonuses for trades. I want to do the 1 million KM trades achievement. Almost there.

Professor Willow's #GlobalChallenge bonus highlights:
1. Articuno, Moltres and Zapdos are coming back with shiny chances! (Sep 13 - Sep 20)
2. Mewtwo as Raid Boss! (Sep 20 - Oct 23)
3. Farfetch'd, Kangaskhan, Mr. Mime and Tauros will be hatched from 7km Alolan eggs (till the end of September)

 

Japanese announcement indicates the eggs won't be live until the 13th

 

I only need Mr. Mime to complete my Kanto Pokedex. This event sounds great. I wonder what will replace MewTwo in EX raids.

 

Rumors this implies Gen 4 at 2PM

 

How long has Gen 3 been out?

 

I think October through December of last year.

 

October was the ghost event, then it trickled in 3 waves starting in December.

 

i doubt they'll release gen iv until the kanto event ends, unless they just have a few in 7km eggs also or something. kinda pointless to release them when you're already increasing gen 1 spawns drastically.

what is this achievement exactly, and i thought you had to be close to trade with people (how close though?)

 

You are probably right on the first.

Earn 1 Million KM across the distance of all Pokemon Trades. KM is measured based upon where the pokemon originated, so if you live in Michigan and gift me, and I get an egg from that and then I trade it to a local friend who caught a pokemon here in NY, it would count as the distance between here and Michigan. Yes, trades have to be made in proximity to the other account. I have my sons account so all of my trades are with him. His was originally a spoofed San Francisco account so I had a lot of legacy catches to trade from there too. Distance also magnifies the candy exchange from the trade to give us each 3 candy for our respectively traded pokemon.

 

ah. any chance you know the proximity for pulling off a trade? like do you have to be within 70 feet or could it be a few miles or what? i've googled and been unable to find.

 

I think you need to be within blue tooth range. something pretty close.

 

About to walk the hell out of my eggs so have plenty of room for when this event starts

 

so glad I traded for a Mime and Kanga last week so I can continue to ignore those bullshit 7k eggs.

 

need like 8 more to get the 151, Mr Mime and Kanga are two so that's nice

 

Those are the only two i need to finish my 151.

 

off the top of my head I need those 2, Chansey (never even seen a shadow of this fucker), Weezing, Zaptos, Dragonite, Mew, and Mewtwo.

Don't think I play enough to ever have a shot at the last 2 but would be cool to knock out the rest of them

I've gotten *one* from the wild.

 

yeah they do spawn but it's really rare. i don't believe blissey spawns though.

they had that valentines day event years back where they were fairly common.

 

I caught a blissey a few weeks ago.

Did something change in the last few weeks where all of the same spawns produce the same pokemon or has it always been that way? I recall when I used to catch the same pokemon as my son that the CP and IV would be different. Now they are exactly the same.

to be more exact: people with the same level have the same stats for the mons they catch. 28s see the same mons, but different from 29s.

 

If I can get the dumb childrens mural at preschool across from my place turned into a pokestop I might never leave the house again.

 

I’m tagging every building around me and submitting them as art installations.

 

Funny how theres a leak about a limit on daily submissions. They already know a flood of people trying to do this is coming.

 

I've got 3 within reach of my apartment without leaving it so I'm not even going to bother.

 

I have a potential stop I could do so I would need like a 30 second walk to hit a stop but the issue is I've got 17 spawns that my Nearby hits and I'd rather see 9 mons on Nearby all the time than 3.

Having no luck with these shinny or different color Pokemon

 

I bought a pokemon gotcha ranger and I find that a catch a lot more shiny's now. It comes down to numbers. The more you catch the higher the chance.

 

This event is ridiculously good. Tons of good old school pokemon everywhere. On my nearby right now, and this is nowhere...



15 minute egg timers now and 90 minute raids.

 

Yeah caught 2 Chansey and a Lapras on my bus ride home. Forgot about the event until I got on Twitter. Thought I just had a super lucky day

 

if I don't get a Chansey out of this event I fuckin quit
