Altaria is great in Great League, but yeah in general it’s better to have a really low attack stat to maximize the number of times you can power up prior to hitting 1500CP. Probably wont matter that much in this battle league until you get to really high ranks
if you trade a pokemon can you trade it right back? got a karablast i'd like to trade to another phone but then back for the evolution.
that's min/max stuff that doesn't matter unless you're doing Cups or at the highest Battle League ranks. my Altaria is like an 87 or something, it still melts faces. learn your type chart (or just have one you can look at while you PvP), learn the moves, that's what matters here for the most part. I'm 18-2 currently, one loss was legit countered, the other I lost to latency and the guy had 1% hp, I win because I run a good team (Altaria with Sky Attack, Azumarill with Ice Beam and Play Rough, Registeel with Flash Cannon) and I know when to shield or switch pokemon. My Altaria is decent, my Azumarill is a 96 from a trade that went lucky, my Registeel is the closest thing to optimal but that's it, my team isn't remotely min/maxed because I'm not interested in double moves for Altaria and definitely not Registeel. Still went 18-2 and worst case was probably 15-5 because I also had some close wins.
if you're seeing those a lot, anything that can learn Charm just wrecks it. if you want a useful normal team member, Ice Beam/Play Rough Azumarill beats it head-to-head every time; it's weak to Fairy and Ice since it's Dragon but Ice Beam charges with Bubble slightly quicker so just go with that. you can also lead with Altaria yourself and just basically make them go 2v2 against you. Altaria as a lead is super strong. unless they do what I describe to counter, you either force them to switch to try and counter you, force them to eat one or both shields, or just kill at least their first Pokemon.
Hey NYGator user FalconPunch is one of my friends and said you’re one day away from Best Friends. Do you want to coordinate with him? I know you’re 40 so if you don’t care just send him a gift. If you do let me know.
So the league battles/wins still don't count towards the Jirachi research (win against a trainer 7 times)
started running altaria, venusaur (frenzy Plant) and probopass and unless my opponent has registeel and skarmoney, i'm wrecking shit.
At least one of the Tina's, a Tina counter, and kind of whatever in the 3rd slot, Regis are popular. UL and ML are all centered around Tinas, Altered moreso for UL and Origin for ML. I run Tina-A, Cresselia (to counter other Tinas), and Swampert.
Been running Altered Giratina, Clefable and Charizard. Went 8-2 in Rank 7 battles and finally got bumped to Rank 8
The premier counters are Normal types, which have heavy resistance to Ghost moves, and who also can learn either Ghost or Dark moves. Lick Snorlax would be an example. The Lickitung raid day coming up in a bit is another, Lickilicky can learn Lick, Shadow Ball, and will come with Body Slam (OP move) on raid day. Strong Fairy types like Clefable or Granbull will punish the Dragon part of Tinas. Cresselia has strong Ice and Fairy charge moves (and a fucking ton of defense) which make it unbeatable in even shield scenarios. Steelix also has the right Dragon/Dark moves to get it done. All of those not only beat Tinas but do more than just exist as a Tina counter and are strong team members.
I grinded through the Great League, mostly getting slaughtered. Now I am wrecking shit in the Ultra League. My overpowered Swampert is giving people T-R-O-U-B-L-E
what rank are you, that's hilarious. Regirock completely dunks on both Salamence and Flareon, all they need is to lead with something to force you out of using Swampert and then just switch to Regirock and it's gg.
oh, that makes more sense. it's going to get more interesting for you going forward. it's not a bad team comp but you could do with improving your Fire and Dragon/Flying mons. Community Day Typhlosion or Blaziken work really well because each gets an OP fast move (Shadow Claw and Counter, Counter also gets STAB) and are tankier and stronger than Flareon. Dragon Breath/Dragon Claw Dragonite is the best Dragon type in UL or ML right now and really good at locking down the Tinas. if you've got those, switch them in, I think you'll enjoy it more.
I like Home so far. Much better than Bank which also cost money. Useful when you have to a of Pokémon across many games and platforms.
Didn't know the CD was today, turned on the app, sees 15 mins until event ends, caught a 15/14/15 lvl 28 Rhyhorn on first catch of the day. Neat.
I only played because of triple dust, I had a full team of 35s that were 96 or better waiting for it and over 2000 candy (3000 after the event). Shiny is decent but I never play for shinies so it wouldn't have gotten me out of the house. Cleared nearly 200k dust, though, so that's always worth it to me.
