McDonalds attempt at the chicken sandwich was god awful and I will eat pretty much any garbage fast food and enjoy it
I give the Jalapeno Popper chicken sandwich a thumbs up The new McDs sandwich is meh and would rather just get the McChicken at a cheaper price
Tried the zaxbys spicy signature sandwich. It was good but not great. Chicken and breading was clearly attempting to recreate Popeyes. The spicy sauce though was lacking, so it didn’t have much kick or flavor. Overall, a good fast food sandwich but not as good as Popeyes or Chick-fil-A.
I had the Wendy's chicken popper spicy chicken sandwich last night and was fairly impressed with it. Not as good as Popeye's...but p good. I love pickled jalepenos, and Wendy's uses plenty of 'em. Just wish my stomach loved them. I can eat pretty much anything, but those things are my kryptonite. Worth it.
Ok I guess this is the fast food thread now https://www.cnn.com/2021/03/10/business/taco-bell-quesalupa-coming-back/index.html Cheese connoisseurs, it's time to celebrate: Taco Bell is bringing back the Quesalupa after a five-year hiatus. The Quesalupa quickly became a fan favorite when it debuted in 2016, combining the cheesy traits of a quesadilla with a crispy chalupa shell to create a double layer filled with seasoned beef, lettuce, cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes and a dollop of sour cream. Vegetarians can substitute the beef with black beans. The $2.99 item will relaunch nationwide Thursday and will be available for a limited time. A combination meal, which includes a Quesalupa, two crunchy tacos and a large drink, costs $6.99. Taco Bell describes the new iteration as an "epicly cheesy experience," with 50% more cheese — a mixture of melted pepper jack and mozzarella — compared to its predecessor. The restaurant chain began testing the new version in September at some locations in Knoxville, Tennessee.
This is relevant to my interests. Haven't been to taco bell in months but I'll give this a try tomorrow.
Tried to stop at Taco Bell for breakfast this morning. They don't open until 9a. I thought, "who doesn't open until 9a for breakfast?". Realized people going to Taco Bell for breakfast, likely aren't the type of people up at the crack of dawn though.
Finally had the Kentucky Fried Chicken Sandwich, the normal yesterday and the spicy today from a different location. It's pretty good. The breading is lighter than Popeyes and the pickles are real fucking good (and I'm not even much of a pickle fan). Good flavor, the spicy wasn't too hot, but had just enough bite to let you know it was there. Will definitely eat again. That's a poor angle, the chicken is thicker than it looks here.
I had the McDonalds one. It's the worst one I've tried. The sauce was good, but the chicken seemed mcchicken tier. Popeyes stays king.
This really only applies to the FL and NC posters, but PDQ has a spicy chicken sandwich now and it's spectacular.
When did they add the spicy? I prefer the Buffalo blue one over the butter one. Overall I'm kinda meh on PDQ bc their breading isn't crunchy and I prefer crunchy breading on chicken.
