That was amazing. The amount of crunch alone makes it better than CFA, and I’m a huge CFA fanboy. The spicy sauce was pretty good, but like many say, if/when they change to the spicy breading, this would be a 10/10. As for now, a fitting 9.5 will have to do.
Just had this and it lived up to the hype. Perfect amount of crunch, bread wasn’t soggy and stayed together, sauce added a nice tang. Would get again.
Just left Popeye's. Went in for the dine in experience. No line, so I immediately place my order for a #10 combo with fries. Payment accepted, and I'm given my cup. As I'm filling my beverage, the cashier calls me back over. Her: Sir, I should have told you this before you ordered. We are out of the chicken filets. Would you like something else? Me: No. I came here specifically for that sandwich. I will take a refund please. Her: I can throw some spicy tenders on a sandwich for you. Me: No ma'am. That's fine. I will take a refund. Her: Okay. Let me get my manager. Manager: Yeah, so no one told us we were out. We got some filets in the back, but they're all frozen. Me: Ma'am it's fine. You can just give me cash back. Manager: Oh no. We got to put it back on the card. Put your card back in there when it tells you to. Me: *waiting on the prompt on the card reader* Manager: hmmm. I guess I'm going to have to give you cash back. Got a free drink out of the deal.
On page 5 Duckmouth looked up this sandwich’s (Popeyes spicy chicken obviously) calorie count (although he was wrong). You brought up pimento cheese out of left field I believe, unless I missed a previous post mentioning pimento
Stands for People Dedicated to Quality, which sounds like some hippie local sourcing commune establishment but supposedly good
I don’t know that I’ve ever had soggy CFA. But that, PDQ and Popeye’s are all within 3 miles of me so getting my chicken fix has plenty of good options
Holy shit boys, that’s a good sandwich. Better than chick fil a for sure. I ordered right behind two large women pushing a combined 699 pounds ordering, I kid you not $42 worth of food at Popeyes.
yeah but their sauces are excellent so you might as well grab a couple to try on the side anyway for future purchases
can attest. We have chick fil-a, Popeyes, and Raising Canes. No Zaxby's or Bojangles. Getting an In-n-Out in 2020. I've already planned to grab a spicy chicken sandwich on the way home from Saturday's hike next week
Anyone who says anything other than boberry biscuits is the best thing at bojangles is either full of shit or has never had them.
Bojangles makes a great chicken biscuit, has great breakfast, but their dinner stinks bc aside from their fries bo-rounds and dirty rice it's all secondary to popeyes
Try and keep up, man. As always, I was the one stanning for PDQ and told Wu about the Pimento Crunch sandwich.
Drove up to the drive thru window filled with anticipation and excitement after reading this thread. "I'd like to order a chicken sandwich please". "We are out of buns". They weren't ready.
Just tried my second location of the weekend and got denied again after being told it wasn’t available on Friday. The cashier asked the manager if they had it and I heard her say “I haven’t had time to setup everything yet.” Like wtf it’s been available for a week
