Not sure if you can really call this a tale of survival.
Bumping these because it’s the hardest I’ve laughed in a while.
Eathan Edwards You said that it's nothing to get ahold of 50,000 chicken breasts. Is Popeye's hitting pause to keep their employees from quitting? Are they out of buns?
I have absolutely no idea - they use massive suppliers like Columbia and Sysco. There is virtually no scenario where they have a chicken shortage from their supplier barring some mass chicken exodus. They just aren't ordering the correct amounts to satisfy demand because the managers don't want to miss their COG indexes.
How is this stanning? Their spicy is >>>>>>>> their mild. They would improve the sandwich.
It could be due to the size of the chicken breast they are using. It's an XXXL so maybe Tyson didn't have enough laying around?
There was a huge issue a year or two ago with KFC and it was entirely the fault of their logistics department because of a DHL deal or something - there was literally a huge surplus of chicken they just weren't able to get it delivered effectively.
They aren't willingly changing something that's been this successful. Maybe they offer an extra spicy in the future but they aren't fucking with it right now.
They need correct amount of buns and sauce, not to mention more people meant more sides, etc. They are just going to properly re-stock every store and then re-market. The Pop's by me said 9/5.
It's great brand synergy that Popeye's corporate is just as fucking unorganized as each and every one of their stores.
if i get a “they’re back” push notification during the game on saturday i am immediately walking out of the stadium to get one
the app is now providing a live cam of the chickens being delivered to the processing plant, incredible
It was the spike in Jax area sales that did us in. I’ll never be convinced otherwise.
I’m just sad for the markets that never got their promised orders. We’ll never know.
I wonder how many days of chicken mania passed before Popeyes had McKinsey tell them how they should run their business. I’m guessing 4
i know what it is obviously but we got a lot of dummies itt so can you please explain what mckinsey is for them (the idiots aka not me)
That McKinsey up to his old ways lol
I have McKinsey on ignore. What’d he say
He said don’t leave a note.
They don’t have the infrastructure in place in terms of product ordering, available manpower, and adequate training systems to supply the demand.
And the higher ups, instead of struggling upstream to make profit, decided to pull the plug. Weird call.
I’ve seen Popeye’s assistant managers. They don’t strike me as the type of people to proactively workforce plan.
Always leave a note
Curious what a Popeyes employee makes per hour. See a bunch of people telling them to pay their employees more.
$8-9 is my guess
dbl buying all those sandwiches means tyreek couldn’t get one
looks like someone owes dbl an apology
This is so sad.
They definitely built them a “pillars of effective long term growth post overnight success” presentation to fuck this whole thing up.
Consultants. My buddy works for them and gets paid
Yeah, but let’s leave your shirt size out of this!
Spot on, according to Glassdoor.
Lol he knew bc that’s his career
And he STILL didn’t get a sandwich smh
Nothing wrong with it. Good, honest living, IYAM!
I would simply acquire more chickens and deliver them to my locations.
It’s not about available chicken imvho
At least I still got my spicy 3 pieces, my fingers, and shrimp and a plethora of sides
this is why the popeyes chicken sandwich will never be the GOAT...
Are you thinking they will make the necessary adjustments?
Or is this exactly why the Popeyes chicken sandwich will forever be the GOAT?
lmao...come on baby girl!
marketing guy getting a promotion
operations/supply chain guy getting fired
ya, you are wrong
I’ll stay loyal to Popeyes as I wait for the sandwich to return. Maybe try some tenders or get my fried chicken on
I used the buffalo sauce for the last one I ate....that was fucking good.
If you haven’t tried the blackened tenders, do it.
