A few weeks was reasonable, but now it appears Popeyes headquarters is managed just like their stores
Yeah I for one will never ever eat there after this and not even their Cajun turkeys will win me back. They had one chance and they blew it.
Yea I'm not surprised by this at all. Honestly it's pretty hilarious. Popeyes stores have always been managed terribly but the food is so good you deal with it. The sandwich is no different.
If you haven't eaten at Popeyes since the sandwich was pulled then you don't deserve the sandwich when it comes back. Enjoy your soggy CFA. God bless.
I feel like I live 20 to 30 minutes from everything. The Popeyes at the gas station here said they will not be getting the chicken sadwich ever again, due to security concerns.
I love me some Popeyes, but gotta admit I've passed it up a couple times just the past month or so because I knew it'd be slower than Toby Gerhart.
Yep, too many people waiting in the truck stop gas station, plus all the truckers, was causing white the circus. I guess the gas station made the decision.
If it's not premade, just ask they will make it. Wish Publix sides were better tbh, not a fan of their steah fries
You have lost your mind, never once had soggy CFA.... they don’t mess up like that. I’m going to need a entire bag of snickers waiting in this damn Popeyes sandwich to come back.... geez.
You've never had a soggy CFA bun? You eat every sandwich within 30 seconds of them handing it to you or you're lying.
Should probably note, the person was saying only Popeyes located in Marathon gas stations would never have again
That insulated bag they use is really odd. If it sits too long, it simultaneously dries out the chicken and makes the bread smushed/soggy. Combine that with the irregular-shaped fillets and the experience can range anywhere from great to miserable. My first exposure to CFA was at a university cafeteria, where all the sandwiches were made hours ahead of time and kept under heat lamps, and then during grad school where they’d do bulk orders for big events and then let the sandwiches sit in the large to-go bags. I remember thinking at the time, “WTF why are people so hyped for this trash?” I eventually gave it another chance and ordered/ate fresh at the store and it was much better, but I’ve always been a little confused as to why everyone thinks it’s so amazing.
This is what every regular CFA sandwich I’ve had looks like, can’t remember ordering anything but the delux spicy for years:
