If you have a cheap microfiber towel I’d make sure to use it to wipe the track when you’re through. I pour sweat on it and if I don’t wipe it down the crud accumulates after the sweat dries. Gross.
I want to get high quality wireless speakers for my new turntable. I’ve got an older Yamaha component system that sounds great, it just takes up way too much space. Any recommendations?
Do it. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_714RP440WF/Klipsch-RP-440WF-Reference-Premiere-HD-Wireless.html?cc=07
If you guys need a good general place to get stuff, Huckberry has awesome customer service. I had ordered some of the Myles shorts and the regular shipping option wouldn't have gotten them to me on time to take on vacation, so they overnighted them for free. I also crushed a pair of sunglasses I bought from them and they sent me a replacement pair for free. They also give credits and discounts all the time.
What’s the turntable? I inherited a bunch of vinyl, and I started buying them as souvenirs at concerts I attend, so I’m in the market.
I plan on putting this to the test with my son's Flint & Tinder 10 yr. hoodie. I already sent it in to them once for a simple repair and it took them forever but they acknowledged that by sending a $30 t-shirt for free along with it. The repair was well done. Now it has to go in again for massive repairs (he practically lives in this thing) and I'm anxious to see how they handle it. Will let the thread know what happens.
I’m also a fan of these type stores. Others i like are Domestic Domestic and United by Blue. Two other stores I like are Sanborn Canoe Co. and Pillbox Bat Co., although they specialize in paddles and bats, respectively. Somehow they seem to have a similar vibe to the general stores though. If y’all know of or find any other similar stores, please let me know.
I bought everyone in my house a 10 year hoodie over the course of a few years. They are silly comfortable and if you wear them like a normal person they are durable. My kid got his a few years ago and I think he coordinates outfits around it. Now the elbows and cuffs are straight blown the hell out and I'm curious how they're going to handle it.
I somehow get those United by Blue catalogs sent to me, but never looked. I'll check out the others too. Big fan of one stop shopping.
I never imagined you could wear out a shirt and send it off to get “repaired.” When my clothes get old (worn out, ripped, or holes) I just throw it away and buy new clothes. If a button falls off my wife will sew it back on. Guess this is a seriously special hoodie?
You pay through the nose for the 10 year designation and the fact that EVERYTHING about the garment is produced in the United States. They send you a list of exactly where everything about your sweatshirt was made or grown including the packaging. The promise is to repair for free whatever you can dish out over the course of 10 years.
Yeah, regular price is about $100. I've had all of mine for several years now, all bought when F&T was independent. They would go on sale frequently then. Not sure about now. I miss F&T athletic socks. I got 3 pair way back when and they are comfortable and durable as hell. I asked customer service if they ever plan to make them again and they said there weren't any plans. Edit: In case anybody cares F&T underwear used to go on sale from the ludicrous regular price they currently charge as well. I've worn the same dozen or so pairs for many years now. They are indestructible if my angry ass can't tear through them in what's been over 5 years now.
Audio Technica AT-LP120-USB can connect directly to your PC/Laptop for a hundred bucks more. Might be important in the digital age. I just saw Rikki Rachtman of MTV Headbangers Ball fame recently picked one up to play and digitize his collection.
I ended up buying this: It has an RCA input and can also hook up to other devices through Bluetooth. Looks cool as shit and sounds great, too.
I need an external hard drive. Any recommendations on a basic one? Doesn’t need to be that big. 1-4 terabytes. Looking at this one from bestbuy... https://www.bestbuy.com/site/wd-eas...able-hard-drive-black/5792405.p?skuId=5792405
I waffled between this and the Klipsch I have, and then between it and The Harmon Kardons I have. Kind of regret not getting this.
Picked up some new baitcasters at bass pro today. https://www.lews.com/casting/machcrush https://www.lews.com/casting/tournamentmb https://www.lews.com/rods/custom https://www.lews.com/rods/customplus
I buy so much shit when I can see the light at the end of the winter tunnel. I picked up three new Shimano reels, and three rods(1 Shimano, 1 St. Croix, and 1 Daiwa) in the past couple months. Loving my setups right now.
Got the 30L osprey bitstream probably 6 months ago. Was a big fan but it started feeling too big to carry around at work. Ordered the 20L osprey cyber today, hoping it’s just the right size.
I've added the Tom Bihn Synapse 25L (right in between those two bags size wise) to my cart a dozen times, but I keep thinking it’ll be too small for all the junk I carry. I should carry less junk
I wish this generation of male taste makers would just make the murse a thing. I have an old Saddleback messenger bag that I could rock daily with ease, but I fear the judgement of others.
I take that back, the bag is 22L, not 20. I thought I carried a lot of shit, but the 30L has so much empty room and too big to carry around at work. I had a messenger bag prior to this. If they have weight in them though they kill your shoulder/neck if you have to carry it any distance.
