Locally sourced, small batch, sustainable cleansing bars that can only be purchased on the 3rd Saturday farmers market of every other month (unless Mercury is in retrograde, then you're shit outta luck).
I have a bar I bought locally that smells of tobacco and leather and it’s awesome. Also very cunty. I just can’t remember the name. When I refill I’ll post.
For the face: Or you can experiment with their many "Mud" soaps. They all work great. For the body: https://funkychunkssoaps.com/ Fall & Winter - Flannel, Hunter's Blend, Rust Belt and Blue Collar Spring & Summer - Bamboo Charcoal, Squeaky Clean and Surf Wax And if she ever makes Grandpa Shorty again grab a few.
I don't know the proper numbering order but all I can say is that based on the way my brain works, agreed.
These are all good and made in small batches which I guess is kinda cunty: Mikes Nautural Striling Cold River Soap Works Mystic Waters These are nice soaps but made in larger batches so maybe less cunty: Pre de Provence Valobra Musgo Real Mitchell’s Wool Fat Yardley’s (tallow formula) Palmolive (tallow as well) La Toja DR Harris Tabac If you’re wanting not truly obscure I’ve got Martin de Candre bath soaps that are only available from France and I had to use google translate and pay exchange rate fees to order them. That’s not an exhaustive list but it’s a good start if you’re looking for something other than Irish Spring. If you don’t see a scent you like or want even more cunty let me know specifics.
It’s not local or small batch, but it smells of Naval supremacy. https://dukecannon.com/big-ass-brick-of-soap-naval-supremacy
Felt like this stuff was pretty cunty, but not bar soap. Picked some up in Rockefeller Center: https://www.penhaligons.com/
Thanks fellas. I am impressed with the MB's soap knowledge What is the difference in the one for your body and for your face? I've been using the same bar for both like a rube!
I'm not sure about the soap but you need one of these https://grenadesoapco.com/products/t-a-i-n-t-scrubber
I use specific soap for my face because I'm a greasy motherfucker. You could fry tiny chicken parts on my forehead and the little crease between my nostril and cheek on a hot day. Those soaps I mention keep my face relatively oil free on all but the days I'm working like an animal in my backyard in August. That level of drying action is not good for the skin on the rest of my body therefor I use something a bit more gentle but still 100% natural and manly smelling everywhere else. Too much degreasing for body parts that don't pump oil like a Texan. If you're not a greasebag like me maybe it won't matter to you but regular body soap may get my face clean but it doesn't keep it that way. The mud/clay soaps from Rocky Top do a good job of luring the grease out of my pores and keeping them dried up all day.
Penhaligons makes great stuff. Their shaving soap used to be a gold standard, got reformulated and it was garbage, then reformulated again into a great soap last I heard. They make great fragrances too, and it’s stuff that not everyone wears like Creed Aventus or Green Irish Tweed. Though some complain most of Pen’s fragrances are kinda unisex instead of masculine scents.
I clean balls face and everything in between with Dove Men’s bar soap. Usually green, sometimes red if I’m feeling like mixing things up a bit.
If you ever need to throw a $5-10 item into your amazon cart add “kracie naive face wash” and give it a try. It has the consistency of margarine and doesn’t lather at all (it’s like a lotion but washes off clean) but it’s all I’ll use now.
I used to use regular bar soap everywhere but then my wife was like hey what are you doing use face soap for your face ya dummy so that's what i did. 10/10 would recommend.
Putting it in my Wish List. Thanks for the tip. If you ever miss a good lather all the Rocky Top stuff is really great. Except that Rhassoul stuff. Stay the fuck away from that one.
Same here, although in a different body part order. Not sure about the colors. If we’re talking about the box, then mine is blue and white, I think. Probably the basic soap. The soap is definitely white. Not even sure it’s for men. Definitely gonna try some of these others though.
I learned from reddit their are some adults who never use shampoo and the truly devoted only use water on their whole body. They don’t even own soap.
Yah the fiance has some in shower that is liquid and is kinda girly smelling but I'll be damned if it doesn't smell good. Sometimes I use it but no fucks are given. It is arguably unisex though if I ever have to defend such conduct.
You see... I have this here bar of Dove soap. It cleans my skin and makes me smell good. Why would I need something else just for my face?
I'm just glad to find out I'm not the only one still on bar soap. Never did like body wash and it seems a lot of people I know use that
It really pulled me in with words like evergreen shrub, purifying clay and soothing oats. Then when I found out it fought odor I was fully hooked
Everyone knows, rules of 4 of on soap packaging. Not hating though because sagebrush might be my favorite scent in natute
It’s always annoying showering at someone else’s house and all they have is body wash. I’m not going to use someone else’s loofah.
