Also I'd be curious what makes you say this. I'm actually just a moron who buys expensive office supplies when I get bored at work.

Only trying to be a little funny, but if you're a lefty the Bic Cristal is seriously the best pen in the world.

Fastest drying ink of any pen I've ever tried.

Believe this is the same one I have. Works very well for what it is. Use it in the kitchen to listen to podcasts so I don't have to have my laptop on the counter near stuff.

Any recommendations on scents (etc) from both places?

I'm intrigued. I've purchased from QC before, very similar in terms of quality etc, I take it?

    Thanks

Quality between QC and Funky Chunks is very similar but Funky's bars are quite a bit bigger than QC. I also feel Funky leaves my skin feeling smoother and the scent lasts a little longer although neither produces a scent that lasts as long as the typical commercial bar of soap.

I load up on Funky bars twice a year as they are semi local for me so I find them at a weekend farmer's market about a half hour from my house. Some of the more masculine scents are Sri Lanka, Snowball Fight, Asbury Park, Jersey Devil (Seasonal), Lumberjack (Seasonal), Surf Wax, and my personal favorite Grandpa Shorty. Flannel is a new scent this winter that I'll be trying out in the Spring. I recommend giving them a shot. Good people with a good product completely made by hand.

Rocky Top soaps are scent free (all of them no matter the name) but imo that's OK because I only use them as a facial bar. I use Facial Soap for Oily Skin exclusively in the summer and it works really, really well at controlling my skins ability to produce oil at a rate that could be quantified by OPEC. I have used Cambrian Blue, Charcoal (also very good for oily skin), Bentonite, Green Zeolite and Dead Sea Mud all with no problems although when you switch bars after using one for a long time your skin does need a week or so to adjust. The bars are very large and can last a few months if only used on your face as I do. I will say Alaskan Mineral Mud was excellent this past Fall and I'll be buying more of that soon along with trying the new Canadian Arctic Mud and Australian Pink Clay. The only bar they have that I did not like at all was the Rhassoul Clay but that's because it has a moisturizing effect that I simply do not require. Read the descriptions and find a bar that serves your skin type best. I NEED oil control. You may not.

Let me know if you have any more questions. Unfortunately I've spent quite a bit of time the past few years learning through trial and error what works best for me. The two companies above are my leaders so far and if I wasn't always on the hunt for something new I'd probably say I'd stick with them as long as they were around.

The actual name of the soap from Rocky Top is Facial Soap for Oily Skin.

Alaskan Mineral Mud worked really well too from warm to mild weather.

    http://rockytopsoap.com/

It goes without saying always clean from the top down (shampoo---->face------>body (shoulders to toes)) and for the first week to 10 days of use you will notice a very thin layer of oil constantly present on your face. In my opinion this is your face getting used to your new soap and you will feel the difference in the texture of this oil compared to what you're used to normally. Think EVOO compared to the usual Quaker State. It happens to me even when I use a different type of Rocky Top. Once this period is over you should notice a drastic difference in how oily your skin gets. I'd say it's like a detox period but I'm not a doctor.

If only using on your face these bars will last 2 months+ so they are very much worth it.

Thanks for the awesome, thorough review. I placed an order yesterday from RTS with he intent to only (mostly) use on the face.

    1x Clay Soap Sampler - http://rockytopsoap.com/collections/soap-end-samplers/products/clay-soap-sampler
1x Manly Man Soap Set (Charcoal, Shavin' Soap, Grip, Bentonite)
    1x Lemon Balm Lip Balm
1x Facial Soap for Oily Skin

Have already been impressed with his quick shipping. I will probably try out Funky bars as well. I was a bit overwhelmed by the choices initially, but will probably heed to your advice on the scents you've listed above. Thanks again brotha.
