I signed up for the list at the DC store in September 2016 and have never received an email. Gorgeous boots. Whiskey shell makes me salivate like Palov’s dog. In regards to the second shoe mentioned, my pair of Galways no longer fit me because of the weight I’ve lost. That’s happened to me with other shoes over the past year or so, but this one really hurts.
SSENSE has a bunch of non-white ones on sale now for about that price: https://www.ssense.com/en-us/men/designers/common-projects you just have to get lucky with sales. the barneys coupons sometimes works on excluded items, etc.
What size are you? I now miraculously own two pairs of Whiskey NST boots. It's silly. Alden did a small run of them a couple of years back for Leffot and I nabbed the one pair off of The Shoe Mart's seconds list in my size. And as best as I can tell, there was nothing wrong with the pair!
Getting flawless seconds is the best. My size is in flux. I got into higher-end shoes with Allen Edmonds, like most folks I reckon. 12D on the 5 last. Oddly enough all my dress shoes and boots from them still fit me, except for a pair of McAllisters that I had to sell because they got too big. I have a pair of Dirigo boots in 12D from Rancourt but had to drop to 11.5D in loafers (and might have to do something about size again—width, not length—because of the chromexcel stretch). I’m now swimming in my 12D OSB trench boots. My pride and joy Galways are 11-11.5 on the 82 last. They fit like a glove when I got them, but now the laces close completely and my feet move fairly significantly when I walk. Not only that, but I’ve worn them less than a dozen times (because I would stupidly save them for special occasions, despite them being casual boots). So the leather will stretch more, making my problem even worse. I think that about sums it up. I don’t own any Alden’s yet because I only wanted shell boots, and they’ve never emailed me. My next dress shoes will be from them or C&J though (I haven’t tried my C&J Harvard loafers lately—I hope they still fit ).
I reserve the right to pass judgement on any of you and your purchasing decisions by virtue of the fact that - at least in my own mind - I’m smarter and just flat out better than the rest of you.
Nike Legacy 91 drifit hat. Will wear them to the gym, already have a black one but I need to rotate it because it smells like butthole if I wear it consecutive days.

Frequent Flyers: I'm in the market for a new "personal item" size backpack for when I'm traveling only with carry-on size luggage bag. My question is this: how often do (mainly domestic airlines) strictly enforce their "personal item" size dimensions? Or do they generally not care as long as it fits under the seat in front of you? United's website says I'd like to get the largest size backpack that I can, so essentially I'm debating between these bags and don't wanna make the wrong choice:
As long as it fits under the seat in front of you you’ll be good. Never seen a secondary bag measured any other way
This is correct, they don’t care as long as it fits. I only fly Delta though so that’s my only experience
This I have flown with a much oversized duffle but if it goes under the seat you are good. Like you I only tend to fly Delta with an allegiant trip to Vegas sprinkled in.
Luckily our rivals main colors are purple and orange and those just don't go well with my skin complexion.
I have a Herman Miller Embody which I love. If you know an architect they can get some solid discounts.
Just found out my new company is a distributor for HM. Looking forward to getting me some at around cost.
