My allbirds arrived today. Got the tree runners.
For those of you that have them, will they loosen up across the top much? Im debating ordering another pair one size up to compare the fit.
Ah yes another half-size casualty. Welcome to the club.
Thanks for pointing out this one. Like I said, got a different model from that company and it has worked out great for me so far. Fits pretty comfortably in my ear as well, though my ears will still start to hurt after extended use but that's earbuds for you.
My company issued backpack strap broke. I’ve already requested a new one but thought this might be a good opportunity to get something nice. Been looking at the saddleback briefcases but know those are out of favor with the thread now. I do like the idea of matching it to my chestnut wallet and overnight bag though.
Any other recommendations?
I like my saddleback briefcase. Never an issue. Doesn’t hold a lot though.
Which one do you have
Tobacco thin. Bought it from High Cotton
Yeah I wouldn’t be able to go with the thin
Curious what your job is if they are issuing backpacks.
I’m an engineer in the automotive field. In general we get a new backpack when our laptop warranty ends and they issue us a new computer
I love my Filson briefcase.
I am also an engineer and my company gives a backpack to each person when they’re hired. The stitching beside the zipper on mine has torn. I’ve thought about buying a new one too.
I use a backpack as well. It’s more of an engineering/industrial thing
I love mine as well.
My company gives bags to anyone with a laptop. You only get a laptop if you’re traveling/working in between sites/moving around a site/etc.
I have a Dark Coffee Brown XL Classic Briefcase from Saddleback which they don't make anymore. Have had it for ten years of every day use and have never had a single issue. Still get several compliments on it a year.
Edit: The only thing discontinued is the size BTW. They still make a size M and L. I wanted the XL so I could carry a 17" laptop which it does with ease.
seems like a lot of places are going to the backpack. i use one as do a lot of people in my building, and my sister just started at topgolf and they gave her one
I’ve replaced my Filson briefcase w a north face backpack.. I can carry more stuff in it and it’s easier to haul around.
This is my current debate:
1. my worn out tan filson with what appears to be buffalo sauce stains on one side
2. financial services standard issue monster backpack with big logo every one gets day one
3. or low key patagonia/rei/type backpack.
Leaning 3 and to treat the filson to new wax.
I've had an Ogio backpack for years. Works really well in the situation you are discussing, Laptop, Ipad, and folders. It's braved a ton of job sites that are nowhere near complete.
can you fit legal sized folders and files? i want to get a new one, my backpack is the same one i got for college 13 years ago
Yes. I’ll have to dig up the model.
Edit: Not exact but this is the new model of what I have. Reviews are all over but mine is rock solid and has been beat up a lot.
Team backpack, I sell to IT guys though so professionalism isn’t paramount. Also much better for day trips.
Go to is from Swiss Gear, held up well over the years and has plenty of room.
Big fan of my Mystery Ranch (brand) Daily (model) backpack
Yes they will definitely loosen up
For backpacks I like the goruck, Tom Bihn, or mystery ranch. Tom Bihn looks the least grey man wanna be but no matter what i always end up back with my goruck. I’ve go between the gr1 for work and gr2 for work travel that requires a change of clothes it two. Familiarity probably drives me back to it. Triple aught design makes good bags in the USA but all their organization is in the exterior unless you spend even more money on pockets etc to mount.
I’ve had one for 8+ years and it’s still my favorite thing I own.
Ebags backpack is fantastic, especially for travel.
Everyone itt sleeping on Lisa Frank backpacks.
Mods remove this image of my personal property. Please and thank you.
My cooler is on it's last legs. Looking to get a smaller one. Want one of those YETI Roadie 20 or similar RTIC or ORCA knockoff. I really don't care. But I know they hold ice well so I'm willing to shell out the dough. Anyone have a 20?I think the soft coolers are harder to clean and I'm not interested.
how big is your freezer
Why do you ask?
RTIC has been awesome have 3. Pelican is also great but they are stupid expensive, won that one. I also have a stainless igloo that is perfect for a day trip.
Edit: The Pelican 20 is on sale for $120, that's a good price.
Yeah I need it for work so I keep looking at the bigger ones but I think a 20 will suffice and easy to just leave in the truck. This summer seems like it's going to be brutal.
The reviews are kinda vague though, Does that metal handle have an issue detaching?
Not sure on that. I have the 55 and all I know is it is rock solid and holds ice like crazy. It's heavy as shit though. I will say the handle and wheels on mine are really well made.
Nah don't need something that big. I need it as portable as possible so my old lady will STFU and I can keep the guys at work from whining. I might try to put it on the company card though so I'll have to fib a bit about how it's a necessity and or I'll quit over it.
RTIC has a soft side 30 for $85, I do have that one and it easily goes a day even in Florida heat.
I’ve been looking at this forever, but not sure I want to spend that when I can get the Walmart version for half.
I think it's worth it . Plus the customer service is great, the first one had the zipper get messed up and they just sent a new one. They are stiff as hell to zip and unzip though.
Very happy with my RTIC Day cooler 8can as my daily lunchbox, but in retrospect I’d have gotten the next size up.
hi yes my bag has been put through hell and still looks like new
I've got the RTIC soft shell 8, 20 & 30 as well as the 65 hard shell and they have all held up great. It's also 30% off right now on coolers, so good time to buy if you are looking.
Looks like 50% off soft shell.
TMB peer pressure plus 50% off. Welp
Where are you located? I'd sell you my 20. Shipping would probably kill the deal. Probably been used about 4 times.
