Nice. I want a seat and the ability to pedal when I want to, though. And, I live over the mountain. I need juice to get to the cool spots. Some dude threw a box on the rack on the back of his electric bike leaving trim tab today and I was so jealous.
yeah, I really wanted to go for a proper Vespa but dropping multiple thousands on an Italian scooter seemed too good to waste on a birthday so I’m saving that purchase for the trough of my midlife crisis. Also, ‘The scooter store’ was shutdown and I was up against a deadline. That scooter is fine for the Mrs’ weight class but you better believe my ass is kicking pavement if I’m not headed downhill on that thing.
Have a horse ranch in CO. Finally went all in on heavy-ish equipment. Photo not my machine, but same model. Should've bought posthole digger attachment as part of 0% financing, but four implements seemed like enough at the time. Nice having a legit bucket/box blade with heavy snow this spring. Need to get proper hunting dog next, ranch is surrounded by hunting leases due to insane bird traffic in area. Goose and pheasant out the wazoo here.
I looked at the electric bikes at the shop while they were trimming out mine. Around 2k gets you a bad ass bike. If I lived in a more urban area I would be all over one of those.
I haven't ridden a bike in years and have yet to ride this thing because of course we have 3" of snow in mid-April, I'm actually a bit nervous to get it out.
I think tandn is probaly feeling better today than he was the day before he left this site Not sure, but just an assumption.
My fathers name was Noah. He died in June 2018 from suicide. I got Arki the month after he passed. Just as Noah’s Ark weathered the storm for Noah, Arki did for I.
I know Hue bulbs do color, do they also dim? So with this smart bulb you can do any colors and dim without needing a different fixture or switch? That might make a lot of sense for a few lights in my living area I rarely turn on. All this damn free time is going to have me spending a ton of money on my home, but hope to get it to 100% of what I want it to be.
Yeah they dim to whatever % you want with a hub without a different fixture or switch. I have the Echo Hub and you just tell it to set at whatever % you want. I don't have the color, though.
yep they dim. the color lights basically do all shades of white, any variation of color, and 0-100% dimming
Yeah, the "white and color ambiance" bulbs will do thousands of colors, including dimming (and dimming at different colors, no less). They are pretty awesome. The amount of time we have been spending in the living room watching TV and adjusting our bright cans got my wife on board with the Philips Hue. $180 on 4 light bulbs was a hard sell, but she agreed they would be pretty great
I mostly roll with like no lights on for the living area since I don’t really like the fan light in the center, but there are like 4 or 5 cans behind the couch that are super bright so I never turn those on either. Switching those to these kind of bulbs might be the move to get me some better light when hanging around.
You can control each individual bulb, so you could setup a routine for watching TV where the center light is off but the cans behind the couch are on low. They are pretty versatile.
If you just want dimming, you could look at a smart light switch instead of replacing each bulb. Lutron Caseta is pretty popular. Shame that shock topssuite got himself banned, he had a lot of good info on that stuff.
Yeah I’ll look into both, but would like to just go the whole way with color options if I’m going to do something.
Got some leather goods New moneyclip/wallet from Mitchell Leather. Had this exact one, but the pockets got really loose after 5-6 years, so getting the same model (no logo): #frontpocketwalletGANG Notebook:
Have one of the wallets as well and absolutely love the thing. In my front pocket as I type this and you read it.
So far responsiveness and noise. It rides silent aside from road noise. Long term the belt is not supposed to stretch and they claim can outlive the bike. The internal gearing is also supposed to be maintenance free.
I’d recommend against the color option. I have I few that I change between various brightness and shades of white. The color feature is a gimmick that rarely gets used anymore. Save the money and buy white, or go with the Caseta.
Counter point, I have the ones in our bedroom set to do a “sundown” scene in the evening and the lights in my daughters room are red overnight.
Trying a couple shirts from Twillory. Had a credit at Nordstrom so went with another of Bonobos weekday warriors and some socks. Then decided my covid check will be used on a new mattress.
Agree except to the extent they are “important” lights. For something like a living room that’s heavily used, I went with color. But for most rooms, “white with ambiance” (or whatever isn’t the most basic option) works.
I'd be curious to hear your loom and leaf experience. My T&N is dead and I had mentally prepared myself for a tempur once the quarantine breaks, but this is the one online model that I've always had my eye on
