I keep getting bombarded with tactical riot gear advertisements online. Was just reading an article on a Trump appointee being part of the Jan 6 riot and an ad appeared on the right side of my screen for a 6 foot long "tactical staff" with different head attachments including a wicked looking knife etc. It says it is an "excellent defensive tool." I think the fact that these ads are showing up is a sad commentary on the state of American society.
I know what you’re getting at but I’ll say this. I got my neighbors son some truck nuts using my work computer. At the time I was on Cust work site, but it was basically two months before I could safely surf the internet there without some testicles coming up in an ad.
I couldn't wait any longer, had to search it out: https://americanfamilysurvival.com/products/tactical-staff
There's a 5.11 store near my house. If you want a tactical hoodie to wear over your mission-ready polo and match to your utility shorts, assaulter belt, combat face mask and operator cap, or for any of your other hardo needs it appears to be a one-stop shop
Not sure why, but this popped up as a recommended purchase from Amazon recently. At first glance, I thought it was for BDSM.
Yep. Most of my wife's ideas are expensive and unnecessary, but this wasn't one of them. Just get it unless your kid is a couple of months old imo
I would if baby was struggling mightily. To me it's an insane amount of money to spend off the bat when your kid may very well sleep just fine in a standard crib. There are a few competitors priced well below snoo but no idea if they are nearly as effective.
Did you buy or rent? I have a two year old that didn't really have sleep issues but this might be nice for the next one.
We bought with our first, lent it to the wife's brother, and will retake possession soon for #2. So we're getting good use of it. My guess is that it would hold decent value on the secondary market when you're done. The only problem with waiting is that you can only use it for 6 months and sleep in the first month is at a premium. If it even gets you another hour a night, I think it's worth it.
I mean maybe if you can find a good deal on a used one. If I'm going to use it for 3 months renting seems like a much better option than paying 1500. This is my last kid.
Agreed. We got the Snoo plus more of the swaddles than we'll ever need for $900. Even if we sell it for less when we're done, it's still cheaper than renting.
Snoo is one of those things that’s worth its weight in gold when you need it, a waste of money when you don’t, and you don’t know that you need it until it’s too late.
Airbnb doesn't have a tv in the bedroom on my upcoming tip to FL. I need a tv in my bedroom, so, $100 720p. It'll be useful this summer too for the neighborhood kids.
Team Snoo. We've got one and love it. It's one of the 3 "musts" that I tell couples who are expecting. The others: Elvie Wireless breast pump so the wife is free to move around while pumping Baby Breza Formula Pro
I’m still fucking annoyed that Fisher Price finally ended their bullshit love affair with battery companies and made their rocker swings with AC power...right the fuck after we stopped using it/no longer needed it.
When you said "absurdly priced," I was thinking it was going to be a lot more than $1500. That's like $10-15 a night for better sleep.
Didn’t know I needed it till I saw it and he mentioned the use case for summer vaca. Will be a good for nieces and nephews.
I hate Walmart but hey, cheap. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Philips-...-HDMI-USB-micro-SD-3-5-mm-Audio-Out/600165242
We got the snoo at 2 months just because our 2nd had bad reflux issues. We rented because I didn’t want to pay full price knowing that renting would be for only 4 months and we could use a military discount. It bought us a few extra hours each night and also helped enormously with the transition to the crib. Just laying her down and walking away was 180 degrees different from our son who we really didn’t know what to do. For that period I would highly recommend the takingcarababies method. She’s a delivery nurse and has an Instagram devoted to helping your child fall asleep on their own. With our first we started at like 6 months and he was sleeping on his own through the night after 2 weeks. We did it with our second from the jump and she slept through the night at 5 months. The resale on them is insane though. If you can buy them during their Black Friday deal you might make money. We had one resell in my area for like $800.
