let’s have a grammar debate about octopuses vs octopi.
Those 32 degrees boxer briefs are 4 dollars rn? Gonna roll the dice at that price.
How can a TMB approved product be a roll of the dice?
I didn't know it was approved by the qualified scrotums of TMB
Just keep in mind ExOfficio's were TMB approved until scrotums started exploding.
I just made that up. Actually the scrotums slowly but uncontrollably melted
In the market for a laptop (I think). I'll be just using it for work and that's about it. Chromebook isn't out of the question. Would like to stay at or below $500. What's out there? TIA
What do you need to be able to do on it?
Have you forgotten the shitty bamboo pillow debacle?
I’m still waiting to hear from TYdeFan05 on 32 degree undies
You have a lot of respect for his balls
Not even going to pretend to TYde but I won’t ever switch from Smartwool personally.
He has a great pair of balls
I still wear my old exofficios. 32 degrees are great
We need to find out what kind of drawers old big balls poetictrojan wears
Mine lasted me a long while
I’m out here doing the lords work (trying a lot of different brands) and I can’t draw any conclusions yet. However, I will go ahead and say the Patagonia ones I bought in March (2 pair) have both failed in less than 3 months. Not just the most disappointing Patagonia product I’ve ever tried, but maybe the biggest dud of the non-dollar store purchases I’ve made in many years. They feel great but didn’t last a dozen washes before large holes started developing at all the seams.
Have you tried Uniqlo?
I haven’t tried their boxer briefs, but their shirts are a great value in my opinion. They don’t last forever but they are priced accordingly.
will try it out on Elkhorn Slough Saturday after soccer games
Big screen for my old ass eyes. Something that wont lag while presenting videos. Basic internet/mainboard stuff. Logging customers. Downloading photos. Etc....
Nothing crazy. Just want fast and practical.
My iPad has been one of the best tech purchases I ever made. Thing is like 7 years old at this point and I don't have any space on it any longer but I don't care. It takes all my work conference calls, mainboards, youtubes, surfs, frequently has a game on my TV does not, etc...... It's still like day one, battery is fine, it's responsive, honestly don't have one complaint about it. The memory piece is on me and honestly it's not a show stopper and when it does become an issue for me, based on my return, I have no problem handing them $ for another.
Not sure what specific apps or sites you need to log into for work but I'd seriously consider one. I paid no more than 400 for mine, use it five hours a day and it performs identical to when I took it out of the box. I've been through at least 5 laptops since I bought this.
That’s unfortunate. Did you dry them? I’ve probably got 10 pairs of Patagonia capilene boxers, some of which are 10-12 years old, and a few of them are just starting to unravel in the crotch seam.
You don’t dry your underwear? Do you put them on a clothesline?
Most wool and synthetic shit says to not dry it on the tags. You can use one of these:
Underwear will be completely dry in like 2 hours and you won't end up with pilling, elastic stretching, etc.
These were the Essential line (95% TENCEL™ lyocell/5% spandex). I knew it was a compromise in their line, but I was looking for something that wouldn’t break the bank that was still gonna last. These did not. Air dry on low with other socks and boxer briefs that still look new. Most surprising so far have been the Saxx. I viewed the whole concept as a gimmick but the material itself is holding up really well. I’m not sure if the whole pouch thing is necessarily an improvement.
String lights that repel mosquitos. If these actually work I might have to get some
Aren't mattress-in-a-box heavily debated on this here website?
Need a full size mattress, something cheap but decent -- it's going to be in a rental unit. Would like to keep it around $500.
Put this in my Airbnb and have slept on it myself and it's just fine. I got it for $159 though so it can be found for cheaper.
Yup, saw that option. Good to know.
Tuft and Needle is only $530, so not terrible.
Is a full size mattress too small for 2 adults? It's going in a really tight space, and I'm not sure if a queen will fit.
I'm sure I've slept with someone else in a full size bed before, but can't recall.
if you want to appease a variety of travelers, then go queen.
I personally am okay with it, but my wife prefers queens and we are relatively normal sized.
You're going to deter some renters but if this is the tiny place up in the Cascades the people that are going to be renting probably are less likely to be deterred than most renters.
Also remember that fulls are shorter than queens; it's not just width.
Always forget to post itt - stocking up on super exciting stuff
Also keeping the Arkansas economy going ...
Two normal adults will be fine in a full
Heavy disagree on the full size bed for two adults but I’m an outlier. I’m a king or bust guy
I did a full in college but I'm too spoiled now. I'd prefer a queen in a cramped room, even if that meant a tiny end table or floating shelf on the side
Helps if you have it against a wall.
Once you’re spoiled by having your own space in a king, it’s over.
A bed or a woman am I right
My girlfriend's bed is a full. Width-wise it's fine, we even have the 40 lb dog in there sometimes. But the length isn't great for anyone 6+ feet (me) especially if they sleep on their stomach (sometimes me). So I usually have to scrunch up and side sleep or just deal with my feet hanging off the bed.
I’m a big dude, but I don’t love sleeping in a full by myself.
Yeah that’s why I put normal people
Any good recommendations for headphones that stay in your ears well while running and are sweat/water resistant? I would like to stay below $200. Anyone have the Powerbeats Pros?
It’s a waste of space and the blankets are hell on a washing machine but I agree.
If you are sleeping two adults and a large dog in a full size bed, I'm sorry but you are not normal sized. You are small people
i went with these last winter and prefer them to my old apple earbuds
If you’re renting a cabin in North Cascades you’re more than likely ok with less than optimal sleeping arrangements as most people will be somewhat outdoorsy.
Btw since we are weighing in on sleeping arrangements I’m 6’3” 230 and my wife is 5’3” 110 and we do fine in a queen that usually has a cat or two in it as well
