Oh this is a getting fun... The pen would stay in a shirt pocket through the day when not in use. I'd want something in the medium/large range...I've got sausage fingers, so something slim like a Jotter can get frustrating after a while. A twist cap would be nice, but not a must. I'm only used to regular full cartridge refills, but I'm open to expanding my cuntiness to other options. Never had a gold nib, so don't have an opinion. But generally probably want a little feedback.
I think you might like one of these: https://endlesspens.com/products/tw...ckel-gray-fountain-pen?variant=32146127093834 screw on cap, stainless steel nib, huge ink reservoir (piston fill, so you’ll need an ink bottle), good size for big hands while still able to be clipped into a shirt
This is my go to pen.. Writes grade and is really solidly made. For the money I don't think you can do any better. Spoiler: pen
I thought there was a computer buying thread but either I’m blind or it hasn’t been bumped in forever. I need to buy either a chrome book or an iPad so I have something other than my iPhone and work computer. Chrome book seems like it may be more like a regular computer but everything else I have is Apple and an iPad seems a little nicer. Would most likely use for fantasy football, streaming tv and occasional excel/word/general interneting. Any strong opinions either way?
i love my multiple year old pixelbook and will be buying whatever the newest version is once it dies. think the chromebook go is the new version? i don't do anything but what you said and its great, not an apple ecosystem person though
Typically low heel rise and a sturdy sole. You want to feel like you have a strong stable connection to the ground and that your shoe isn’t absorbing power with its cushioning.
Newish, growing company… I think. I’ve been aware of them for 2-3 years, but never owned a pair until now. I suppose it could be a casual shoe as well, but I think it’s a good all around/versatile trainer because its heel drop provides stability under load, but is tolerable for running, jumping, hiking/rucking, etc. It’s lightweight, well constructed, comfortable, firm with good flex, and has good traction on multiple surfaces. *if you have wide feet go up half size.
I know you didn't put this as an option for a reason, but I got a MacBook Air in 2015 for internetting, watching movies/shows, word processing/work stuff. It is still going strong and no signs of slowing down. Highly recommend.
I know this has been beat on a bunch in this thread, but what is currently the best home wireless-ac dual band router?
Move into 2021 and look at mesh buddy. Can’t see anything. I can see it on the quote here yeah get this it will work.
Posted this many times but my iPad is 6/7 years old now? Maybe older? It’s still like the first day I bought it, would buy another again the second it went. I take all my work calls on it and use it the same way you describe. Get a good BT keyboard and it’s easy to email and work on docs etc…. I was not Apple eco at the time of purchase. I’ve committed to it full time in the last year.
Eero works very well and is great for people who don’t want or need to dig into all the details of their home network.
I've had trouble with my Eero connecting my Ring cameras. The rest of the system connects, but the cameras haven't.
Getting on at all. It's apparently a known issue from the quick google search I did. Something about the 2.4 vs 5 GHz bands...Eero by default uses one and the Ring cameras use the other. I think there is a work around but I haven't screwed with it enough. Please no one rob me.
Eeros broadcast both but you can’t choose to have different SSIDs for the wifi. It’s kinda annoying for specific applications. That said I have a nest camera/thermostat and a ring doorbell that work great.
I bought my first fountain pen on layaway when I was 13. (A Shaeffer). Granted, I started working there in 9th grade.
In app go to: Settings Troubleshooting My Device Won’t Connect My device is 2.4GHZ only Then push the bloody blue button mate
Thanks. I’ll add this to my list to research and look into. Yea, a MacBook would definitely work but I’m trying to not spend that much since I won’t need the full functionality of one.
Eero bros, did you look at TP-Link too or just decide to go with Eero because of its seamless compatibility with amazon products?
I got it because I am a tech idiot and was told that even I could not mess up the install process. It honestly took longer to unpackage and figure out where to place the hubs than it did to get everything installed and on the network.
I bought my eero system in like 2018, shortly before they were bought by Amazon. I had moved into a house too big to cover with my old router. Eero was one of the few established mesh systems around with a good reputation. Now that I’m moving into my own house I might replace my eero system down the road with something that has a lot more bells and whistles, but I’ll recommend eero to anyone.
I went ahead and got this one: https://www.costco.com/tp-link-deco...t-in-smart-hub,-3-pack.product.100477095.html
Thread has inspired me to break out a few of my FP’s. This is a Parker Sonnet Chinese Lacquer F nib. Was one of the first nice(r) pens I purchased. Probably around 15 years ago. Spoiler
Check out Tactile Turn. There is ridging/jimping throughout the entire body of the pen. Feel awesome in hand. I only have the bolt action but they make other models. Also comes in various thicknesses & lengths.
