I have a gazebo that has power to it (an extension cable run to the side of the house) for string lights and a fan. I'd like to mount a bluetooth outdoor speaker up in it. Do I have an option besides a “portable speaker”? Looks like most “outdoor” speakers run to a receiver.
They make bigger ones (example). Not sure about quality, though. If your gazebo is covered, one option could be picking up a used receiver on Facebook marketplace and keeping it outside. I kept a $20 onkyo AVR in my un-air conditioned dallas garage for a couple of years and it never quit on me
Maybe when you redo the electric to be up to code you can also get some extra underground conduit for running speaker wire or other data cables.
Just moved in but yeah that would be preferred. I am just happy there is power to it at all. Clearly a professional did it, it's very cleanly done so it is what it is for now.
I too don’t feel comfortable wearing my $100 pants or $60 shorts to workout in… that’s why I made the joke about somewhat active wear. They’re great for going from sitting on the couch to let’s get lunch without looking like a bum. But between sweat, chalk, machine grease, etc. not comfortable shortening the lifespan of comfortable/stylish/expensive clothes. With the all these clothing brands that arose from social media focused advertising, that all have the same clothes at the same price points, does anyone ever get paranoid we’re buying the same alibaba sourced items that they just stick their brand on and markup grossly?
All of my gym shirts are World Gym and Golds Gym tshirts. Hanes hoodies. I do wear UA and Nike shorts though.
Most of my Lulu shirts were gifts. I think I bought one that was on clearance. I like the Under Armour dri-fit shirts for working out, and there's a UA outelt store across the street from my office where I can score them cheap.
This is the post a pic of purchase and we’re shaming people for expensive clothes? We need a TYdeFan05 EDC palate cleanser
I've been on a Vuori kick recently as well. Love the pants. Shorts are good not great, but their long sleeve Ts are the absolute best.
Anyone have a shirt brand rec for large tall tshirt sizes? Tired of shirts stopping halfway down my forearm.
When covid hit I tried getting the Core Home Fitness ones cause they were the only ones getting stock. They looked better than bowflex in that they arent so long. I ended up getting the bowflex ones from a coworker and no matter how little weight they are super long from end to end.
I had the 52.5lbs for years and they were great, I’ve heard less good things about the heavier 1090 model - lots of plastic pieces that can break, some looseness/play in the weights while you lift. The top of the line at home adjustable DB’s are the Ironmasters and the PowerBlocks. Ironmaster with supply constraints/turnaround times they’re doing a lottery every 4-6 weeks to buy them. PowerBlocks similarly are out of stock quite often. Look at the Pro or Elite models. Less conventional shape, can be awkward for some.
I'll happily go hybrid or electric truck when available, but will have a hard time giving up serious outdoor power tools.......
grabbed the extra hot lately as i found the regular one has incredibly flavor but isn't spicy haven't tried it yet though as i've been away from home, will report back
Had this for the first time today, not as hot as I thought it would be. Fully expect it to wreck my butthole tomorrow.
Anyone have a rec for a nanny cam? My parents are looking for a camera that will allow them to watch their dogs. Needs to be easy to use, it would be hard to create a more stereotypical boomer couple.
If you want more than one cam, I'd go wyze and set them up with the tinycam app. You can see multiple cams from the main page rather than going into each one with that app
say what now the Prana’s I have are Brions and have zero cargoness whereas my Kuhls which I like always at least have a pocket on the leg somewhere.
I’ve never owned any Zions, but they’re basically a slim-fitting stretch chino equally at home in the office or outside. I love them.
Could you hike/trek in them? The Zions are more outdoorsy, but have cargo/outdoor features that probably wouldn't be suitable in an office setting.
For sure. They’re very quick to dry, and dirt is easily brushed off. They’re pretty much my go-to’s any time I actually have to wear real pants.
I've found it nearly impossible to find Prana pants in a 36 inseam. They claim to make them, but they're always sold out.
How long should pants you wear 1-2x a week last? Since September I've had 3 pairs of Bonobos Chinos and 1 pair of Bonobos jeans wear a hole or rip on me. Have had all four pairs ~3 years.
