Does anyone remember playing the original Street Fighter with the rolling ball instead of a joystick?
seems like Golden Tee was ahead of the curve on selling to more than just arcades and sports bars because it has a smaller unit and can use a regular flat screen monitor. I've stayed in several airbnb's with Golden Tee in the game room
Space not an issue? A 4-person setup of Daytona USA More realistically - NFL Blitz for now with my kids ages but later Mortal Kombat II
would love to know lifetime count of broken hands/wrists because of smashing the screen on your follow through
As a child in the 80s /90s was there anything much better than being dropped off at the arcade with like $25 for a half day of action and hitting the food court for some Chinese? *Arcade lock ins were pretty sweet too.
Because burning shit is way more fun than sitting around a big lighter Posted from my shitty fire pit
We’d have overnight church “lock-ins” and they’d take us to a bowling alley that had Killer Instinct and a ton of other awesome video games. I’d use all my bowling and food money on playing them instead. The arcade in the mall was the best though. Mom would just drop us off with some money and go shopping
Primal rage on Sega was epic. I didn't have a Sega but my older cousins did. I thought they were gods. I was like 7.
my stepmom actually managed a Chinese takeout spot a mall food court the summer NBA jam came out and would give my brother and I a bunch of quarters and send us to the arcade for the day. That was a great summer
Speaking of arcade games did anyone play war final assault? When my friends and I were like 13/14 we would get dropped off at the local arcade/fun center and play this shit for hours. It tracked your records and we were all at the top of the list. Multiple times we caught a friend going by themselves to get ahead of the others on the leaderboard. It also would let you challenge random people to PvP battles which i think gave you free gameplay so we would stalk the machine and then proceed to destroy some poor unassuming kid. Great times back in the day.
Lock in at funstation in Tallahassee. Basically a Dave and busters but with putt putt and laser tag. Unlimited everything as they turned off the token things except for ticket games. Absolutely amazing.
Was that the place with lazy boys where you could go play madden/ncaa/counterstrike and drink beer? That place was awesome
Solo stove is pretty sweet. Although I’m notice that it looks like its snowing very fine black fibers of wood all around me. Wonder if its the type of fire wood I’m using or the starter log.
My guess would be the starter log. Once it gets going you can throw damn near anything in there and it’s smooth sailing. If you’re using a traditional fireplace log starter, I’d recommend just chopping off slices of that to get real wood burning. Maybe you could use a hammer to break it up? Honestly not sure I typically use newspaper or leaves with some small split wood to get it going. If your wood is wet you need to go smaller and slower until you build up enough heat. It’s a science, but fun, if you enjoy fire.
Yeah very nice sorry, was focused on the fire. That thing gets such good air flow you don’t need to be Daniel Boone to start it, just a matter of efficiency once it gets cookin.
Put them in a pile and you’re golden for quite a while. It’s 15 degrees here now but in season I throw a tarp over mine when we get rain. Makes me good from Oct-Dec. Jan-Mar is hit or miss. Also save the cedar last in terms of placement.
