if the straps are off you shouldn’t have to get deep enough to where your exhaust is in the water. The boat will float off the trailer way before that. If your talking about getting the boat on the trailer, it will depend on your boat and trailer and the degree/pitch of the ramp but generally you shouldn’t have to get your trailer so deep that your exhaust is in or near the water. Generally the sweet spot for loading is once the trailer fenders are semi submerged but where a little of the fender is still out of the water. but that is pretty variable.
Totally depends on the ramp My neighborhood ramp is shallow enough that my boat does not float until the exhaust on my truck is in the water, front tires almost in
GX has substantially more cargo space than RX and is taller. Mother in law has one…just doesn’t have it set up with 3rd row. Roomier than RX for sure.
Vehicle pricing fucks with my mind anymore. A Lexus GX is significantly less than my parent's Expedition, hell, and their F150? That feels wrong.
It’s a lot smaller than the Expedition. We looked at those and the Navigator, and they’re stupid big. It’s gotten to the point of impracticality. The same goes for pickups. In like 2013 everything started trying to compete with semis.
They are massive vehicles, it still just breaks my small town brain that a Ford costs more than a Lexus. I've just always assumed a "Luxury suv" would slot in around 100k unless it's tiny. I've nearly got my Edge paid off, once it's clean I was going to look at Broncos because I love them, but looking at this pricing a lightly used Lexus or something slots into roughly the same price range. My search may have changed a bit.
got a 65” LG OLED a couple weeks ago and its awesome. One thing that I never thought about but love is the scrolling ball on the remote with sensor that acts as a mouse on tv. searching for specific YouTube shit is 100x faster
That 4.6L V8 in the GX is bulletproof, but the infotainment is still severely lacking. Get the GX for a truck like, body on frame, bulletproof V8 experience and reliability.
Might be looking into acquiring a mini excavator for work. Anyone with experience let me know. Primary and almost sole use would be trenching for pool plumbing. Fitting inside a 3’ gate is a must. pretty sure Cat, Bobcat, & Deere are outside what I would be wanting to spend. Thinking about Kubota. Parts and service centers abound with them. Other option would be by some off-brand online for about half the cost, including shipping, and hope for the best. Realistically could save about 50% going that route, just not sure if setting myself up for issues when it comes to needing service/parts. Speak to me people with knowledge.
Get what makes you happy and if it’s a Lexus cool. Buying a Lexus and not a Toyota is a bit of a head scratcher to me.
Why wouldn’t you rent from United Rentals or Sunbelt every time? Unless you are using it every day, wouldn’t that be more efficient?
My goal would to be to use it once a week. If that is the case I would be paying considerably more in rental fees than I would to purchase. And that does not even account for the times I might show up to the job site just to find out my task is delayed so would need to keep a hold of it for longer, or return it and have to use it again for another day. If I was only looking to use it occasionally, rental would definitely be the way to go but I am looking to expand.
Great TV deal for anyone in the market https://slickdeals.net/f/16586684-l...f2b&attrsrc=Personalization:Interspersed:True
100% agree.. I buy Honda Accords when could spend more on something else. Driven them most of my life and something reassuring about that. I don't need the fanciest vehicle and rather spend my money elsewhere.
Looking for some recs on some Oxford shoes and a matching belt. Will be wearing to wedding. Had been looking at allen Edmonds but seems their quality has really dropped recently, their recent reviews are bad online. Open to any suggestions
Timely. A pair of my plain cap toe Cole Haans oxfords spontaneously combusted last week. The rubber in the heel literally disintegrated in the space of one workday when I was offsite. I left a breadcrumb trail of little rubber chunks between the bathroom and my workspace, I had to carefully walk to my car as to not dislodge the entire heel assembly as the glue started giving out. While that was borderline comical, the problem arose today when I stopped into a cobbler who said it would be $70/shoe to re-heel them. I could get a second quote, but the cobbler hinted that the shoe was poorly designed. No more Cole Haans.
Never bought anything from Birddog but like the way their joggers look so giving them a shot I will say I'm slightly weirded out about what seems to be a poop/butthole fetish with them. These were in a "meet our team" email they sent Spoiler
Yeah their marketing is cringy, but I love their shorts. Pretty much all I wear on the weekends if possible.
Drove the Toyota equivalent of the GX which was a diesel 4x4 in New Zealand, it was great. I would buy it in a heartbeat if it was available in the states.
Any washer and dryer recommendations? Wife wants a top load washer. Consumer reports would be helpful as well.
It’s cool. I didn’t pay for it so it’s cooler because of that. I never use it but for someone that likes to take handwritten notes and be very organized I could see it being very beneficial.
