Using the same character models for the 'Taken' seems cheap and lazy. I also don't like that they separated the strike playlists and left the top level one with only 3 or whatever. The Halloween shit was worthless, and really caused me to stop playing. Sparrow Racing sounded stupid, so I didn't bother. They're focusing on PvP quite a bit over PvE because they eventually want to be an eSport. I'm just not very interested in Destiny

Infusion made every piece of gear relevant. I dont understand why you hate it. It's probably what i consider the biggest improvement made by ttk.
We can disagree on that point. Regardless, there is a reason they got rid of their CEO and sent emails out to players asking if they still enjoyed the game. You can defend their 'updates' all you want, but I don't believe you're in the majority here
I think the majority of the dedicated fanbase is still playing. Perhaps not as much as before, but that happens with every game when it has been a while since dlc.
I played with about 20 to 30 dedicated fans of the game. Literally the only people still playing it are the ones i know from tmb. Im extremely excited for the division to scratch the itch that destiny once did.
I do in the same but different ways if that makes sense. But i think that if the division doesn't separate itself content wise, the players they gain from destiny will be gone real quick. Although i agree with pretty much all of what excitatron says, im done with destiny on principle mostly. Bungie HAS to keep that game fresh in my mind and they are not making enough effort with that for me. Oh and lol at you defending that lazy character model reskin with "lore". Lore was tailored so they could be lazy
I guess i just dont give a shit about character models. It's blatantly obvious they tried to just abandon 1 to work on 2, people got upset and felt betrayed, and now bungie is trying to fix it. Ive said it time and time again, no mmo will ever stay fresh without a sub.
Does it matter why it was done? If they added a raid sponsored by doritos would you get offended and stop playing? No, you'd just be glad there was another raid to do. Same concept.
They should've just abandoned 2 and kept with a dlc model imo. Id be fine with quarterly paid dlc and random small updates. The thing that gets me about a destiny sequel is its gonna render the current game obsolete im guessing. I think they should update the current raids and strike lists and add content. I would pay for all that without question.

Enjoyed the beta but it was enough to cause me to cancel my preorder. The dark zone was fun but grew stale after the first day and a half or so. I'll wait until release to see what kind of end game content is included and what else there may be to do in the dark zone before I decide whether to get it or not.

You named 2 games and cod isn't the same type of game. Destiny is comparable though. There are numerous games where this happens on launch night when you've got hundreds of thousands of people trying to log in at the same time. If you thought this would be smooth then that's naive
