    I don’t really drop weights. More for jumping. I can feel it in my ankles and knees after 5 days. Tuck jumps and jumping rope etc.

    I have a bunch of elitefts resistance bands. some of the stronger ones go up to 250+ lbs at max stretch. Been loading them on my back and doing push ups and hooooo boy im sore af

    That shit is so far down the list of things to be done on a house that was built in the 80s and barely remodeled. That wood trim is in all 4 bedrooms in the house but not the living room or kitchen.

    Gotcha, I know they partnered with Jump Rope dudes, who have like 500K subscribers on YT. Either way jump rope work outs are legit and the YT channel has some good stuff and the app is free to DL.

    Oh I like that. I'm going to need to educate myself on resistance band workouts; they're supposed to arrive Wednesday. Kettle Bell arrived over the weekend, going to try that for the first time today. Is a single, adjustable kettle bell enough to target specific areas on the body for working out; or more just a whole body?

    So I hate to be all "I had a great weekend!" during this shitstorm -- but I largely avoided the internet Saturday and Sunday and probably clocked over 20 miles, weather was gorgeous. Was good to disconnect, even if it was brief.

    Friday evening - 90 minute level 2/3 yoga class, holding forearms stands/headstands/other inversions for 60 seconds at a time. Had a good bit of beer that evening, though

    Saturday - woke up and took the dog for a 7-8 mile walk through the woods. He's an old man so can't do anything that's steep, but he's fine on a flat surface in mild weather. Was gone for a good 5+ hours. Saw only a few people in the forest.Took myself through a slow yin yoga class when I got back, watched Outbreak that evening and went to sleep at like 10

    Sunday - Me and 2 buddies drove about 45 minutes east of Seattle into the mountains, tried to do Granite Mountain. Didn't make it all the way to the top due to amount of snow and not having proper gear, but we clocked 7 miles round trip and 3,700 feet of gain over 4.5 hours through pretty heavy snow. It was a fucking burner, but I felt amazing last night. Saw maybe 4-5 other people on the mountain. Then ordered a gargantuan sushi meal.

    Seattle has no shelter in place order or anything. It's pretty weird.

    The parks have been packed, I've stopped taking my dog there because of the amount of people. Weather is supposed to get pretty shitty this week, so hopefully that keeps people indoors.

    I though Inslee (WA governor) did a very good job before shit really hit the fan -- we closed restaurants/bars and encouraged social distancing/WFH at the very early stages. Since then, he hasn't really done anything. He's been asked several times about a "shelter in home" order, and keeps responding "I don't think we're at that point." Who knows. These next 7-10 days are really going to be a tipping point, imo.

    with working from home and with kids around I need lunch to be simple and I might even start pre making lunch ala a packed lunch

    We've been able to maintain our meal prepping. This week doing an array of veggies + soy chorizo, 1/2 over pasta and 1/2 over brown rice. Pasta is with pesto, brown rice is an Asian style.

    I want to go for a 2-3 mile run but also want to do a lower body bodyweight/resistance bands workout. Should I run before/after/not at all? If I run I figure my workout would only be ~30-45 minutes.

    You’ll be fine. Longer runs the day of/or day after a leg workout could cut into your muscular gains but won’t do anything major to resistance band results. If you start to notice knee or other joint pain I’d rearrange things.

    The workout I did not expect in putting together my mini home gym in the basement is that now we are under a shelter in place order I have to get all of this shit downstairs by myself, including the 200lb six foot long treadmill box.

    Same. If not looking at just getting some 40’s. Not sure what do do about leg workouts so I don’t lose all my gainz from running. Getting a jump rope and need a pull up bar as well but not sure of any good ones. With the weather getting nicer I found a spot I could just tote all my stuff up through the parking deck and have the whole thing to myself since it’s only visitor parking.
