    Yesterday did just about every direction on both legs with the resistance bands -- straight leg back/side/forward for 4x10, then did some like mountain climbers with the bands, then some squats, finished up with kettle bell 3x10 lunges/take the bell under the leg, then 3x10 squat-presses. Took the dog for a 3 mile walk downtown (creepy) and then taught a 60 minute yoga class shortly after, feel awesome this morning.

    Taking a day off from strength today. Going to talk to dog and have an intense 90-minute yoga class this evening.

    Did 4x15 of wide stance and 4x15 close stance with a heavy ass dresser.
    4x15 overhead press with that dresser
    4x20 curls with a case of water bottles
    4x20 overheard triceps with a case of water bottle
    Ab roller
    15 mins of running and 15 of stairs outside wearing sauna suit
    Hour workout at 746 calories so not too bad. Ordered bands and a jump rope

    Dresser leg/overhead press was killer. Dresser alone is heavy as shit and put everything heavy I could find in the drawers.

    Everyday is basically 2-3 miles of dog walking, pull Or push body weight exercises, and kettlebell workouts. Yoga or a jog a couple times a week

    Yeah. I got on my knees on one end and put my hands under the top of it and lifted it up onto the other end like a shoulder workout machine. I didn’t pick the whole thing up over my head.

    Like a close grip over head press. I only lifted the one end up off the ground. The other was on the ground. Same for the other exercises. There’s no way anyone could pick the whole thing up by themselves unless they’re a legit power lifter. Didn’t know what else to call it as it’s a made up exercise. Felt like a shoulder press machine.

    Yeah, I ended up doing more of a push press then thrusters the last round. Thrusters do seem to be the theme of this week.

    i tend to be more circuit based when working with kb/db. my legs are still dead from tuesday

    Do this with yoga twice a week and you'll be fine. I took three months off legs last year and did yoga twice a week and I lost like 10% of my max. Big deal, it came back in a couple weeks

    Anyone have any good links to some free whatever it’s called body weight programs like CrossFit type stuff? Just ordered a 40lb kettle bell as well. I’m to the point/age that I can’t keep the mass on me like I have and even before all of this I had planned on dialing my workouts back to start working on it. Seems like now is as good as a time as ever to do it.

    8 Rounds (20 sec on/ 10 sec off) Tabata (Total 12 mins)
    Movement 1- KB/DB Hang Power Cleans
    Movement 2- KB/DB Upright Row
    Movement 3- Jumping Lunges

    1 Round = a full rotation through each movement (1,2,3). No additional rest b/t rounds.

    Peloton is doing a 90 day free trial for their app. Tried it yesterday and did a 20 minute body weight workout and it kicked my ass. My wife does (did) Orange Theory and said the flow, coach, music etc. was very similar and she loved it.

    Before all this started I had been doing 6am CrossFit (I know) classes 4-5 days a week from July until when the gym closed two weeks ago. I went from a skinny nerd who had never lifted a weight a day in his life to being close to hitting 200lb on back squats and was about to hit 170 on my deadlifts.

    I got sick and came down with a bad cough for about 1.5 weeks when this all started so I hadn’t been active for a long time and I had started drinking more out of boredom.

    Yesterday I did a pretty decent workout of just push ups, sit-ups and air squats.

    This morning I went on a decent run around my neighborhood, came home and did 50 alternating dumbbell rows with 30lb dumbbells and 120 sit-ups. This is the best I’ve felt in weeks.

    sorry long story just wanted to get out something positive for once

    My knees are still bad from surgery, but went out and walked two miles yesterday. It was refreshing. Gonna pick up some bands today and get moving.

    It's a little on the expensive side, but any adjustable one with weights is going to be around $100 anyways. This + bands cost like $250 and I'm happy so far.

    I'm through Day 3 of 30 days of the Yoga with Adrienne on YouTube and it's been awesome. Had never done yoga before this week...didn't realize how much of a workout it is. Still need to work on the heady/spiritual parts of it--I find it hard to "focus on your breath" as I'm struggling to maintain balance on one foot--but it's been great. Interested to see what improvement looks like after 30 days+

    The only way you'll get this is through consistent practice.

    Also, as your physical practice continues to grow, you can start trying cool shit like arm balances and inversions. Generally, males with a weightlifting background can do a lot more arm-balances early on due to the upper-body strength.

    I’m on day 2. I’ve got a good handle on a lot of poses, but the very first one. Literally just sitting cross legged, wrecked my knees. A wonder I was able to ever sit like that.

    Elevate your hips -- sit on a pillow or something. I sit on 2 pillows or a yoga block. Can also put something underneath your knees (on each side) for support

    My knees are also wrecked, and males hips are a shitload tighter than female's hips, so generally cross-legged poses are harder.
