Has anyone picked up chess since watching? I did and have been really enjoying it. If anyone plays on chess.com lemme know would love to have some folks to play some games and to discuss theory and tactics with.
Yes. I like just doing the chess.com puzzles for the most part. I also downloaded chess Ultra for my Switch which is a really fun game. Haven't bought a physical board yet though
My dad used to have a really nice, wooden set. Felt on the bottom, really well cut. The show made me go looking for it and no one in my family seems to know what happened to it when he passed. :(
been playing a lot of puzzles and it’s amazing when you spot a pattern or tactic from them in an actual game. My best survival puzzle rush score is 26 and I’m at like 1400 puzzle rating. Got a lot of work to do for sure a lot of my fails are just from not being patient enough to work through all the options.
Can't find a chess thread. I play on planes when I travel but have no idea what I'm doing. Why is this a stalemate instead of me checkmating the guy?
He’s not in check but can’t move without moving into check, which is an illegal move. Therefore he has no legal moves, so stale mate.
Didn't put him in check, he has no legal moves without putting himself in check https://chess.stackexchange.com/que...eckmate both involve,Black has no legal moves.
Watched every episode straight through till 7 in the morning. Hooked from episode 1. Joy was wonderful, captivating from start to finish. Benny character was corny. Dudley was well written/acted. Ending was too feelgood and clean, but still an enjoyable episode.
