I'm just devastated by the outcome.
I liked the part where PSU shit down their leg and blew the game.
I did McSorley's home run swing and salute to my TV afterwards.
On behalf of my graduate school, upstream to my actual school.
You just know that we're gonna eventually morph into those old farts that we make fun of worrying about the recruitment of 17 year old boys while we try to figure out how to access whatever the 2062 version of twitter is.
So all #New Jersey Devils fans are also Rutgers fans, right?
So if I wanted to post about how Parenteau is really coming along and Hall is back, looks great, and we're about to go on a tear; I can do it here?
I hope Parenteau keeps scoring so we can get a decent pick for him at the deadline like Stempniak last year. And there's like zero chance we make the playoffs so fuck those random win streaks we go on knocking us out of a high draft pick. I just watch to see Hall and Miles Wood skate 200mph around the ice.
No, not with teams like the Bluejackets in our division... (I just wanted to type that to see if it got auto-corrected).
Last night was probably the last game I see live this season (because I'm broke now) so I'm okay with taking our foot off of the gas at the trade deadline.
Ooh, besides him skating at 200mph, here's another Miles Wood highlight:
Good thing for us is the scouting director that drafted all those Blue Jackets guys is the Devils scouting director now and pretty much all of our 2016 draft is playing in the world juniors tourney right now. Drafting sucked for years under Lou but it looks to be turning around now. Just gotta be patient. It's much more fun sucking with young players than overpaid old dudes.
I love him so much, he was being called the next Chris Kreider at BC. Eventually he should be a 30-40 point motherfucker on the 3rd line.
I keep forgetting that there are Devils fans who are young enough that they can even think of saying bad things about Lou Lamoriello.
Dude has a life-long pass in my book.
Cory, Miles, Santini, how many BC kids do we need on a team?
Clayton to Western mich.
Kid was taking shots at the staff today on twitter before taking down the posts. Fuck that kid..what an ungrateful piece of shit. I hope he breaks his leg in 19 places.
seriously though...chances micah clark ends up as a DT?
Paramus Catholic kids have always acted like they are owed something. Kid was soft to quit the team because he got beat out by a walk on who was clearly better. Screw him.
It would be funny if Fleck goes to Minnesota, however their dumpster fire is almost burning as hot as ours....almost (thanks Flood)
I get the sense Fleck is holding out for ND next year, Kelly needs a big year to keep his job
Crazy to imagine.. That would be a scary thought. Sadly he'd probably do well recruiting nj
Can't wait for Fleck to go to ND and bust out "Touchdown Jesus is my homeboy" at his opening press conference
Pretty sure most ADs have seen right through Fleck and that's why he is still at WMU. I give him lots of credit but it feels like a lot of smoke and mirrors.
most brutal meme of the Rose bowl..... that shit cuts deep
Freeman and Gettys are useless in conference. I'm almost tempted to say Diallo and Sa should be starting.
We need to land Reid.
If you weren't a fan when we were down 30, don't be a fan when we're down 20.
What is up with all of these missed free throws?
I know being blown out by 28 points sucks but i really feel we're 2 or 3 solid players away from being highly competitive. We just don't have the quality kids yet.
So we fired Zak Kuhr?
Lol what a massive upgrade reading that article
Erb comes to Rutgers after spending the past four seasons at Nevada, where he was running backs coach and promoted to assistant head coach. He previously spent 13 seasons -- eight with wide receivers and five with running backs-- at Iowa.
Nevada was the only school in the nation with two running backs topping 1,000 rushing yards in 2015. That same season the Wolfpack also had arguably the best special teams in the Mountain West Conference, from kickoffs and punts to return yardage.
Erb is a two-time selection (2005, 2012) as a Top 25 recruiter in the nation by Rivals.com. He also brings instant credibility to the position group because one of his prized proteges is Winslow Township High School product Shonn Greene.
Talk about an upgrade...
No complaints with our offensive coaching upgrades. Kill and Erb are a massive experience upgrade over Kuhr and Mehringer. Should help out with Xs and Os big time. Makes me wonder if Okruch gets booted too since he has good STs experience, although I am willing to give Okruch another shot since he was playing chicken shit.
That guys resume is pure money. Literally everything we need. Success at special teams, wr AND RB coaching (pairs well with jafar)...Rated top 25 recruiter in 2005 and 2012 by rivals..NFL experience
Let's start a fund for Naz Reid. I'll be the bag man.
This bball commit is kind of a head scratcher
Name sounds like a Mediterranean dish you would order on Easton Ave.
Looking like Fleck is going to Minnesota after all
I kind of expected for Pikiell to come in and reel in some more high-major players, especially scorers. Doucore was a great get, but Baker and this JUCO are not cutting it. How fucking hard is it to recruit a couple guards who can put the ball in the hoop?
It's not like he is a young kid with lots of upside either. The dude is already 22.
New coach or not, if I'm a high-major recruit, Rutgers is at the bottom of my list
I mean fwiw we have three previous guards on the coaching staff..They obviously see something that can help. It's not flashy but having a guy who can run an offense on the bench isn't the worst thing and it's not a long-term commitment
Hoops recruiting will improve when we have a facility up that proves we actually treat the sport like a D1 program. I can't imagine visiting a school for football and a staff telling me they won't have a practice facility for 2-3 years. Would be eliminated quickly if you have options...JMO.
Hahaha fleck to Minny= I hope Clayton feels like he just ate a plate of dog turd. Watch wmu bring in some big-time disciplinarian who yells and screams at his lazy players.
The more I think about it the more I understand the mensah pickup. We really don't have a single point guard on this roster. We have Nigel and Corey, both SG/scorers pretending to be PG. They do not move the ball well enough. This kid doesn't need to score a single point and he can still have success if he's a floor general moving the ball around at will with precise passes. I get that there's 0 flashy about that..but it's truly a piece on our roster we are completely missing.
So he is going to penetrate the defense and free up shots for Corey and Nigel, who probably shoot 25% from deep combined? I agree that Pikiell might simply be addressing a need to improve ball handling and ball movement.
For someone who was an ex pro athlete Zappa comes off sounding like an idiot way too much.
All the coke fried his brain
He should allow them to play SG more often. I wouldn't mind playing Williams at SF every once in a while for added shooting on the court if we go with a shorter lineup too.
Plus it's not like we have many guys who are shooting well inside of 3 point range either..He can at least chip in some there. I'm just saying that Nigel and Corey are a poor, poor man's version of a PG. His passing is a big improvement over theirs.
RUskoolie you at the wrestling match?
Apparently Kelly Rippa and her husband were at the match tonight.
I was wrestling my newborn to fall asleep instead.
