Could've used Damian Prince too. If only we had a real head coach at the time.
Avery Young to RU
His bro is bigtime...already has an early Nebraska offer.
I hope the German DE commits to us. That would be an interesting pickup
Weren't we supposed to have some sort of uniform unveiling event?
Very meh on our latest commitment
So it looks like the Amad Anderson ship has sailed..
Just watched 2 min. of his highlights. I think this kid plays in the Staten Island Special Ed. League. or something.
The competition he was playing against looked like the biggest challenge for them was not coming out of the locker room with their knee pads on their head.
Still my favorite poster.
Nah he can play ball.
Ahmed Bah.. Processed. Who's next?
That was the quietest toilet flush I can remember at RU
didnt everyone get duped by this rumor already?
I'll always remember him as a kid I didn't want to take...who de committed only to find out his other commitable offer was like Stony Brook and Ash takes him to help secure Taysir Mack, who flips to IU like a fool on NSD.
Happy to trim the fat. We're officially at 85 ships now!
That was a VT kid
I believe you, but the very first highlight I saw was him breaking off a huge field reversal TD run and there were defenders that actually cut the angle and got out in front of him as if helping to clear the way from about the 30 all the way to the end zone.
Nug in cave..basically why fans should wait and see how the class shakes out before bitching for 8 months. Lots of prospects who may be on the market for one reason or another. Already looks like we're flipping banks. Our staff is one of a few who can actually say they are guaranteed to be there in 2-3 years. stability is a major selling point
BC's staff is certain to get fired, that's why it was so mystifying.
They hammer us with negative recruiting and they completely lie on top of it. If you are not aware of it as a parent or coach I can see how kids get caught up with that staff because no one around them is the wiser
Interesting info on a 4* prospect on scout. Would love to share but I'm still not allowed back in the cave!! Haven't been able to get back in since I changed computers and lost all user names and passwords a couple years ago
We already knew it from last week.
Well dammit. This is why I want to be back in the cave. But apparently I need to meet one of you at a tailgate and give a handjob to "confirm" I'm not a mod from a site
Just ask for babbs
It's less about that and more about keeping the pedos out.
I'm not an admin, but I'd support having them emailing everyone who's registered with their account name, because if you know your account, there's a pw recovery function. If you're serious, the account name might be in your gmail history or something like that.
Thanks. I would love just the address again. And I could go from there and try my best. Last time I had to post in the free board of rivals to prove who I was there. I would be happy to pm someone and they could check my posting history. I subscribe to rivals and scout, get drunk during every loss, and donate $500 every year to the Rfund. I'm a real fan
LOL we got another commit from the state of GA. Cracking up at people saying the staff was wasting their time down there.
West Virginia, Kansas State and cuse offers..solid 3 star
For the old-ins like me, every year Rivals would say we're taking a small-ish class, and every year there was attrition. I bet we take closer to 25 than 18. We clearly want 1 more WR at least, 1 more RB, 1-2 OL, 1-2 LBs, maybe 1 TE, and we have no DL yet. And my guess is that BC for example is going to lose a ton of kids.
Wouldn't be surprised if BC's staff is fired at the end of the season. I think Banks is worth staying on as well as DeNucci, I don't think I'd want any of their commits other than their 4 star OL but he is not the type that would ever go to RU. Elijah Jones would be a borderline take if RU didn't already have so many db's.
Not really cave worthy but BC squeezed Banks and basically lied to him. He took the bait and committed. They threatened to pull his schollie yesterday. Honestly, I don't think he looked great on junior tape so I don't really care but this one will be interesting to watch.
Threatened to pull it because of the BBQ? Did he come?
he came. lets see if they put their money where their mouth is. if they dont pull his scholarship, and another recruit of theres makes a visit and gets their scholarship pulled, itll be a bad image..not that they care. they know they're going fired.
I wonder if campanile tries to beg penn state, cuse, or pitt to be in their recruiting department cause he wants to further hurt RU.
He doesn't give a shit about anything other than a job.
just finished season 2 of last chance u. it is easy to pick out the kids on this team that must drive the coaches and academic counselors crazy like the kids on the show. looking back, i always knew i was in an easy class when i saw a student manager standing outside the doors with a clipboard/sign-in sheet.
Kivlehan vs the Toddfather on right now
Most Rutgers homecoming first at-bat in the history of homecoming first at-bats.
Tom Flacco is #ELITE
So what's the prediction on our record this year?
Washington - blowout loss
Morgan St - win
E Michigan - close win
Nebraska - lose by 2-3 scores
OSU - blowout loss
Illinois - toss up
Purdue - win
Michigan - blowout loss
Maryland - close loss
PSU - blowout loss
Indiana - toss up
MSU - toss up (really think they're trending down)
I think 4-8 is realistic, maybe 5-7 if we stay healthy and catch some breaks. Think our total D will really improve (got better from 2015 to 2016 but expect a jump to 50-60 range).
I know that beaced guy is like 90 years old but I lol'd when he asked John if he could get the podcast in "printed form so I can read it"
I'm always hesitant to make any predictions before seeing the news coming out of training camp. Who looks good. Who we lose for season. Sounds like Tverdov is out for season. Not the he was starter.
I am cautiously optimistic. Not even as much about win/loss record but just how we look out there. Reminds me of the basketball season. Losing is fine as long as we look competent. That will be a step forward for the team, fans and recruits
If we have a QB that steps up and DL that can get to the QB here is what I think is best case scenario
- Morgan St
- Eastern Michigan
- Penn St - was last year a fluke? Plus I always have to believe against them
I think comparing this years football season to last years basketball season is a good way of looking at things. I just want to see some life this year! 4-8 based off of nothing.
pretty much what i think but ill go with 5-7.
Washington - 0-1 - blowout loss
Morgan St - 1-1 - win
E Michigan - 2-1 - win
Nebraska - 2 -2 - lose by 10
OSU - 2-3 - blowout loss
Illinois - 2-4 - close loss
Purdue - 3-4 - win
Michigan - 3-5 -blowout loss
Maryland - 4-5 - close win
PSU - 4-6 blowout loss
Indiana - 4-7- close loss, ends bowl hopes
MSU - 5-7 - win - end the season on a high note
Ouch, Tverdov had surgery today . Hope everything's okay with him and it's just a minor thing
They discovered a partially torn labrum and decided it was best to get surgery now and be 100% for spring ball vs risking further injury, needing surgery in the middle of the season and then missing all of spring ball. Given our new defensive scheme (we will have three 300 pounders on our DL starting in a 3-4 this year) PT is limited for guys like him and Bordner (has eaten his way to 280 already).
I would agree with this if it were 2 years from now. We don't have the horses yet and our HC is still learning.
I really think Indiana will be bad, that was all Wilson.
I said best case scenario! Lol
Is Ash on this board? We're getting into about the DL right now on the round table. I'm Sport on that site
