I mean, go outside and exercise in the south in the summer. Fuuuuck that. If course, we live in 2022 and indoor exercise is a thing. And, you know, diet choices shouldn’t be altitude dependent.
Correlation to temperature too, right? Lot easier to go outside when the heat index isn’t 100-110 for two months.
I work in this shit all day long and you crying about walkiny outside for ~2 minutes just pissed me off.
Difference is when deciding on my calling in life, I did not check the box next to "maximize my outdoor time in the texas summer."
Dry heat is the best heat. When I lived in Mississippi people always told me that 30° down there felt way colder than Iowa at 15° because of the humidity. It took me getting out the weather app every time to prove that Iowa is just as humid throughout the day as Mississippi. They wouldn’t have it though.
As a MS resident the humidity is rough. 90 here with no air and high humidity just hits you hard. Air is thick, wet and dripping in sweat 3 seconds outside. Point makes sense for cold though
I think that’s one of the biggest differences between MS and IA for me. 1. Mississippi is hot and humid as fuck early, like 6-7am. Iowa doesn’t get hot and humid until 9-11am. 2. Iowa’s breeze is normally 10-20mph, where a windy day in MS is usually 10mph+… this is the delta from my experience.
Really easy to just hike on the snowpacked trails in winter. Probably my favorite time to hike. No need to XC ski for exercise And most those cool western places around 5-7K feet get so much sun the roads are clear of snow and you can still run on them in winter
I was walking my dog at the park last week. And at the entrance my dog likes to smell all the other dog pee and hangout. As my dog is sniffing, this 6-7 year old kid dressed up as Spider-Man, with his mom and little brother right there, asks if he can pet my dog. Say sure. Little kid is petting my dog. Then the kid starts licking my dogs back, and as this kid is doing that, my dog hikes his leg and starts pissing all over the kid. Dogs rule.
