Had half a reuben leftover today that was better than fresh after a minute in microwave to heat up the middle then crisp up exterior in pan. Would be dried out if you went all oven or pan
I exclusively use a sous vide to reheat everything now. Nothing like having a leftover slice of pizza in a few short hours. So tender too
I’ll never forget a dude in college cooking scrambled eggs in the microwave and then putting grape jelly on them.
I toast my bagels using the reverse sear method. 5 hours at 50 degree then blitz them in a ripping hot cast iron with a high smoke point oil
I sous vid mine in Chardonnay then pop them in the air fryer after dipping them in white truffle oil for a nice crunch.

At the time I didnt know it was even possible to cook eggs in the microwave. Had never even thought about it so it kind of blew my mind. Meanwhile I would eat dry oats and wash em down with water when I needed some quick carbs but those eggs were still below me.
I don't love a toasted bagel. I usually only eat them when they're fresh. I've stashed frozen bagels before and my move there is to cut them before I freeze them so you can thaw and toast easier, but I rarely do that.
I've never really liked bagels but I assume it is because my family just got trash bagels growing up so I never got into them. Need to find a bakery around me that makes actually good ones to try them out
Freeze bagels day I get them. Take out bagel. Rinse with a little bit of water. Toaster oven 225 for 10 minutes.
You know what bagels are overrated? Garlic and onion. You know what bagels are underrated? Poppyseed. Asiago is also great, but don't see those everywhere.
asiago bagels stink. you got panera-pilled in the late 2000s (aughts) if you think those are proper bagels
Spoiler According to Grubhub's findings, the top flavors in the U.S. are: Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle. Blueberry Cinnamon raisin Everything Asiago Rainbow
Everything and plain. I finally tried lox because I was always hesitant but I really enjoyed it and I’m not a huge fan of salmon. Skipped on the onions cause I can’t eat them raw.
It was my first one and they went all out on the stuff. We went to a friends house for Easter and they bought legit ingredients for one from a nice market here. I’ve never ordered one at a restaurant because it seems like they might be terrible depending on the restaurant but there’s a few legit places here that I’ll try one at next time.
